Drug War

"Drug War" is not a very galactic image style movie, but it embodies the galactic label everywhere. And the true characteristics of this film are anti-traditional and anti-typification. In previous Hong Kong movies, both good and evil are full of brotherhood, such as "The True Colors of a Hero" and "The Wind and the Dragon". The gangsters in Hong Kong films used to be like this, Hongxing’s Chen Haonan, Dongxing’s Crow, and Liansheng’s Jimmy, the ghost in "Gun Fire". They are either handsome, or ruthless, rich, or scheming, and in this film all of this is gone. In the film, all those who have a strong sense of loyalty all burst into death, but the ones who have the least loyalty can live to the end. And what about the Hong Kong gang? The seven-member group represented by Lin Xue is so embarrassed. The polished commanders want nothing, but the domineering Cai Zhenbiao and Cai Yongchang are actually the puppets of the seven. How ironic is it compared to traditional Hong Kong films?
