Background music is too bad

A good movie will make a day better; a bad movie will ruin the day. Scarface belongs to the latter.

This movie is often seen in various places and is rated as a classic; coupled with the starring AI Pacino, I have always had a high expectation in my heart.

After reading it, I won’t watch it a second time.

AI's acting skills were there, but it was ruined by the director.

The background music is simply terrible. When I watched it, I only felt that the director’s taste in music was also terrible. I went to see the director's introduction and was evaluated as the "American Hitchcock" and "Contemporary Suspense Master". I'm afraid there is some misunderstanding about Hitchcock.

There is not much scary suspense in the whole film, only plain narrative, and no excellent lens language to tell the story, many lines are too straightforward, even Hitchcock’s fingernails are better than Not on.

At first, Tony and his hand went to do the first ticket business, but they were tied to the bathroom, and then the other party took out the chainsaw, which was a good warning to the audience. When we thought that a bloody scene was about to happen, the camera moved from the window to their car on the street outside-I think this shot mimics Hitchcock’s "Brilliant Thief" in which the heroine is in the room. Forced onto the bed by the male protagonist, then the camera moved to the window, and there was no picture of what happened next, because we knew what was going to happen, the camera seemed to be our audience, so I couldn’t bear to look down and turned away—— I thought that when the camera went back here, the things inside were over. We could only see the suggestive thing like blood, but the camera would go to the bathroom. The story had just begun, but there was no direct bloody scene in the picture. In fact, I was a little disappointed.

I don’t know why this film will be mentioned in "The Godfather". If you compare it in this way, then this film will only be even more disappointing.

Anyway, apart from watching AI Pacino, this film is not attractive to me personally.

Disappointed, Stone's script is always powerful and illogical. In addition, this character is written at a distance from Pacino's age. Does it look like a brother and sister? It's like a weird bird...

A character that I can't empathize with, and I don't want to be, let alone meet tony montana... The "saving the cat" part of not killing women and children is a little blunt, and I seem to see the screenwriter's possessive roaring "I'm not a scumbag". And was surprised to be indifferent to AL's performance in this work.

Scarface quotes

  • Tony Montana: You know what your problem is, pussycat?

Elvira Hancock: What is my problem, Tony?

Tony Montana: You got nothing to do with your life, man. Why don't you get a job? Do something, be a nurse. Work with blind kids, lepers, that kind of thing. Anything beats you waiting around all day, waiting for me to fuck you, I'll tell you that.

Elvira Hancock: Don't toot your horn, honey, you're not that good.

Tony Montana: Oh yeah? Frank was better huh?

    Elvira Hancock: You're an asshole.

Tony Montana: Where are you going? COME HERE! Coño, HEY! ELVY! I was kidding. I WAS ONLY KIDDING!

  • [Tony is on a payphone describing the botched drug deal involving Hector the Toad]

Tony Montana: [into the phone] Yeah, it was a setup. Bunch of cowboys. Somebody fucked up somewhere. Fuckin' Columbians. They never wanted to make the sale. They only wanted to steal the money.

Omar Suarez: [voice] All right, I'll look into it right away. I'll make some inquiries and find out what happened.

Tony Montana: Yeah, you do that, Omar! You do that.

Omar Suarez: [voice] Do you still have the buy money?

Tony Montana: Yeah. And... I got the yeyo, too.

Omar Suarez: [voice] Wh-what? You got the yeyo?

Tony Montana: Yeah, I got it. Right.

Omar Suarez: [voice] Bring it here to my place in one hour. Come alone.

Tony Montana: Fuck you! I'm taking the stuff to your boss, Lopez, myself. Not you. Me!
