Chihiro in everyone's heart no god 隠し

Everyone will see different content when they watch it. This is the charm of a great movie.

The love-broken people see the love between Bai and Chihiro, the lonely people deeply understand the faceless man, the kind-hearted people like Boiler Grandpa and Ling, and environmentalists often see Hayao Miyazaki's rebuke of human behavior. . .

This is the tenth time I have watched this movie, and there is really something new every time. The passion and perfect details that Studio Ghibli has poured into this movie are worth seeing.

It’s easy to be incomprehensible when watching this movie for the first time. I think it’s because Miyazaki has put too many concepts in this animation. What..." When I read it carefully, the image that Miyazaki tried to express gradually emerged.

1. Human greed
first is that Chihiro's mom and dad turned into pigs because of their gluttonous food, and later they also acted as the main line of the movie to guide Chihiro's actions. Becoming a pig is a punishment for their greed, a pig is a spokesperson for greed and laziness, and becoming a pig can be regarded as tailor-made. At the beginning, it denies human greed.
Next is the river god who is regarded as the god of decay. The river god became the form of a rotten god because of the pollution caused by humans. Hayao Miyazaki is also worthy of the title of "Environmental Protection Ambassador", and all the movies have not forgotten the damage to the environment caused by human greed.
It is Bai's identity again. Bai is the god of the Amber River. He became homeless because the river was filled by humans. He became a disciple of Tang Po Po. Although the dialogue of Bai’s life experience was only explained at the end of the article, it was also an infrasonic condemnation—" The river was filled up, and houses were built on it"—Oh, well, we do whatever we want with nature because of our own selfish desires.

2. The
name of self-knowledge has a special meaning in this work. Even the title of the movie is called "Spirited Away". People who don’t know think they are talking about two people, but in fact they are both Xiaoqian, one is the real name One is the name after being captured.
I think Hayao Miyazaki used his favorite symbolism here again: the name is a symbol of self. Here’s the evidence~ Bai said to Xiaoqian: “Ms. Tang takes away the names of others to dominate them. If you forget the names, you won’t know how to go home.”
Ignorant people are best to control, because ignorant people don’t realize themselves. People without self are the saddest, because they have lost the glory of being a human being.
If I were to use only one theme to outline this animation, I would choose "Recovery of Myself".
In the end, Bai finally knew that he was "seeing Amber Lord"~~

3. Pure love
mentioning this part I think it is very embarrassing. . I remembered that Grandpa Boiler said to Xiaoling, "This is love! Love!!"
Just like Hayao Miyazaki's "Pure Love of Youth" (which is more popular than environmental protection theme) in every movie, this one The pure love in China is particularly prominent. I really like what Granny Qian said, "It’s impossible to forget what happened, but I just can’t remember it." This seems to be the best interpretation of Xiaoqian and Bai. Meeting is their destiny, and love is also. Qian returned to the future world and they will surely see you again!

4.
People who are lonely will have moments of feeling lonely. In this movie, the faceless person becomes the representative of lonely people. A face without a strong expression, a mouth that you can't see when you don't open your mouth, and a slightly hunched posture, silently watching Xiao Qianshi's appearance. Master! ! Hayao Miyazaki is really a master! ! ! A simple set of characters successfully interprets loneliness in this way! !
When Xiaoqian asked him "Where is your home? Do you have no parents?", the faceless man's face was deeply retracted, and he whispered, "Don't... don't... I'm so lonely... I'm okay. Loneliness...", as if people were instinctively dodged by tenderness and sensitivity.
Maybe he really has a crush on Xiaoqian, but even that relationship is lonely.

5. Social hierarchy
The social hierarchy that Master Miyazaki expresses in this work is both obvious and obscure. Those gods who come to bathe in the oil house have a very clear hierarchy. The oil house itself is also a "bath where eight million gods come to relax." (Is there really so many gods in Japan... Worshiping is also an individual effort...) If you don't look closely, it seems that they are just colorful designs, but if you look carefully, they are famous. Take the gods who got off the boat when Xiaoqian cried on the shore at the beginning and became transparent. The patterns on their masks were different. Compared with a deity who had three maids bathing later, their faces were lined, and the high-level deity had a triangular pattern. By changing the pattern of the mask to indicate the level of level. One more thing, the triangle seems to be the noble representative in this work~ The bath plate with triangle corresponds to the high-level medicinal bath~~
There is also the distribution of baths. The low-level Tenjin enjoys the low-level baths, and the high-level ones are not only themselves. There is a bath for exclusive use, and there are people to take a bath. .
There is also a small detail that may be overlooked by everyone: when Xiaoqian took the train to the bottom of the marsh, the ordinary people in the car were translucent. They all wore ordinary clothes, unlike the various and weird costumes of the gods. And the fact that they are translucent, I think it is a symbolic technique of the master. It means that ordinary people are insignificant. Because the gods are all entities, and the monsters who set up shops in the town, they are also translucent. At the beginning of the film, Chihiro gradually became transparent. In this way, it seems that people in that world, as long as they are useless, seem to be transparent.
Master Miyazaki satirized the real society with such a small detail!

6. The other details
are the planning of the town where the oil house is located. If you look carefully, you will find that the town is really organized, with leisure and entertainment shops in one place, restaurants in one place, and health care in one place. It turns out that Master Miyazaki is still an urban planning designer. .
There is also the purple hair rope that Qianxun gave to Chihiro, "This is a talisman, knitted with woolen yarn that everyone woven together." When Chihiro left that world, it lightly sparkled with the delicate broken sound of music. , Seems to remind us that "Chihiro will also be protected in the future." The hair rope is the only token that Chihiro brings back from that world, and it will prove in Chihiro's later life that this is not Nanke Yimeng, but the real Yo. Those people, those things, that world.

That's it, it's over. The above is just my understanding, in short, this is really a movie worth watching hundreds of times! After writing this film review, I seem to like this film even more.

Lin Shaohua responded to people criticizing him for unfaithfully translating Haruki Murakami’s works in this way: "If a hundred people read his book, there will be a hundred Murakami." This sentence also applies to this movie. One hundred people watch "千とChihiro no God 隠し", there are a hundred god 隠し.

It wasn't until Chihiro recalled the childhood memories of falling into the water of Amber River that the director wanted to use this story to carry more than we thought, including the appearance of the river god Lao Bailong was mistaken for a super-large rotten god. If human beings are greedy, they will become fat pigs if they don’t work. Granny Tang and the little monsters are no different when they come to faceless men. There are two sides to all human beings, gods and monsters, and there is no difference, except for Bailong and Bailong. Boys and girls like Chihiro. Miyazaki's greatness lies in putting the profound stories in simple situations into simple situations. It is suitable for young and old, but it can be enjoyed by interested people for a long time.
