Getting to know the X-Men series started with reversing the future. I did know the character of Wolverine before, but I never understood it in depth. The reason for the reversal of the future is because of its overwhelming publicity, and its posters have been placed on the stop signs of several bus stops near my home. After watching Reverse the Future, I can't take it anymore, and I have finished making up the previous movies. Personally, I think Reverse the Future is good.
After watching [Apocalypse] and [Wolverine 3], Apocalypse felt a bit baffling, but when Wolverine came out, there were still tears in his eyes, and Logan directly made me cry.
The reason why I haven't been looking forward to this [Dark Phoenix] is not only because there has been a previous [X-Men 3: The Last Stand] about Dark Phoenix, but also because the director is not reliable at all. Simon Kimberg has been a producer on the X-Men series before, and occasionally serves as a screenwriter. In other words, this movie is his debut.
But his screenwriter's work: [Apocalypse], the plot is a comedy, and the final battle at the end is like a game, so the villain was killed by such a fool. Not to mention that he was so involved that it ended up being the worst superhero movie of all time: The New Fantastic Four.
[X-Men: The Last Stand] is also the screenwriter he participated in. There is a saying that he made this film because he wanted to make up for the mistakes he made in [The Last Stand]. At present, it seems that it is better not to make up for it. Although [The Last Stand] It's unsatisfactory, but the part when Wolverine kills Qin by himself is still pretty good, but the ending here is completely a joke, and Qin finally blew herself up... not dead. But no matter whether she sacrificed or not, there will be no next film. (this may be a good thing)
As for why there is no Wolverine in this film, director Simon Kinberg explained that one of the reasons why Wolverine did not appear in [Dark Phoenix] is that the film will inevitably involve Wolverine and Qin. It's not a good match for Hugh Jackman and Sophie Turner, two actors who are too old in age, to fall in love. WTF? Although what the director said makes sense, but Wolverine started killing after meeting Jyn in [Apocalypse], and then ran out of the base naked. How did he fall in love with Qin?
It was previously reported that the film's reshoot was to move the third act of the film from space to the train. The news caught everyone off guard. If the order was changed, everyone would cheer, but the moment from the space adjustment to the train battle was over, and the final battle was basically a joke. What about the big scene? Investing 200 million is just smashing cars or something? Godzilla next door is 170 million from beginning to end, and 200 million here is paddling.
The character characterizations in this episode are also unpredictable. Professor X has changed from a wise man to a mentally retarded, the beast has become extreme, Magneto is still the MVP, Qin is also mentally retarded and has no sense at all, the villain of the model worker is the X-Men who have been here for so many years. Besides Apocalypse, the second The mentally handicapped villain (Apocalypse, I really can't complain), Mystique is gone, and the time for Quicksilver to appear is pitiful.
I always thought that the order of filming and release of the X-Men should be [X-Men: First Class] [X-Men: Apocalypse] [X-Men: Dark Phoenix] and finally ending with [X-Men: Days of Future Past] , Matthew Vaughn also planned the same, but the Fox executives did not agree, which led to the two episodes after [Reversing the Future].
