Not-so-beautiful misunderstanding

One star for Uncle AR, one for the funny nonsense that talky Jay occasionally pops up, and another for the uncertainty because I don't understand it.

From a series of unbeautiful misunderstandings.

First of all, because of the main characters of the film (if the two angels who made mistakes are the protagonists), I always thought it was a Ben Affleck+Matt Damon work. Although I didn't expect much from them, I thought it was at least something that was quite satisfactory and would not go wrong. .

Secondly, I always thought that this was a well-known subversive religious funny entertainment film (the rumor is true), if I had known, there would be a pair of Kevin Silent-Bob Smith and Jason Talky-Jay Mewes who don’t know what to do (indicating that the former is a screenwriter and a screenwriter.) director), would definitely be more convinced it was an entertainment film, although not so fond of Clerks. However, the stimuli kept coming back and I was very confused.

The first stimulus came from Uncle AR. When he took off his pants, the part between the legs of the genderless angel was fake, but it was still unpleasant. The next stimulus is more and more direct and violent violence, South Park-style violence. To be honest, I can't accept the animated version very much, and this film has not been rated as 18+ in most countries. Given that I used to enjoy the violence of sin city, the excitement here may be partly due to a total lack of mental preparation. Basically, the entire 130-minute film is spent in excitement, awkward confusion and occasional giggles. Yes, there are really cute and interesting places, and that will be left for the end.

After watching it, I always wondered why I was so confused and so unpleasant, and suddenly realized that this film is not anti-God at all, but an out-and-out pro-God! Although the angels of all levels are full of F-, drink and dance, even though God appears as a black(?)/woman, they always represent absolute justice and absolute correctness, and the main point of the film is that "To prove God wrong is to unmake the whole existence." So, even if God does err, for the existence of life, the universe, and all things, we must guarantee God's truth, including by adjudicating "true" criminals. At the end of the day, the film is just like the bishop (or whatever the clergyman) who seems to be satirized at the beginning, solemnly introduces Buddy Christ, creating a more modern and fashionable new image of God. Does the film promote religion under the guise of subversion, or is the so-called subversion simply a one-sided misunderstanding by the media? I even heard that some religious people criticized this film for blasphemy, is that a propaganda game that you are making a fuss about, or is it just shit in their minds?

Another dissatisfaction is the image of the woman in the film. The heroine is a typical American woman who longs to be a mother and to find her faith. One word, boring; the woman who was spared in the massacre of the two bad angels is an innocent lamb who has no sin in her life and only screams in horror; Muse Appearing in the image of a stripper, but with nothing but a mouth full of justice; God is innocent and cute, suspected of being dementia... Referring to Clerks, I guess it is Kevin Smith (willing) to understand women so far, most men are like this, I Don't blame him, and don't like him either.

After venting his dissatisfaction, he began to talk about the parts he liked, like their wings~~

Let’s talk about Uncle AR first, no, I didn’t watch it for him, not exactly. AR played the voice of God with his acclaimed voice (then what's the rest of him? - I have to mention my favorite line here, it turned out to be this one, I'm really shallow), deep voice It's not my cute kind, but it's really unique. Once you like it, it's easy to fall in love. I like the outfit he cherishes, and it's much more lively and cute than Professor Snape, which I love. Seeing the wings (complimenting Affleck and Damon's wings, by the way), I forgive him for taking off his pants and showing off his asexual organs, seeing the feathers drooping listlessly in disappointment, and missing the robot Marvin for a second hopelessly . I have watched a few films of Uncle AR recently, and I suspect that he will not fall in love with him, but in any case he can be really cute, and he can be very sad (not referring to this film). Sadness may be the most charming temperament to me.

Since AR has not appeared for much time, most of the tasks of adjusting the atmosphere fall on the shoulders of the director and his friends. As far as this task is concerned, it is not bad, praise and praise (is it time to criticize other parts at the same time? Too boring? Forget it, convince people with kindness).

In the end, I confessed that I downloaded English subtitles, and because of religion, I didn’t understand it in many places (Isn’t it too dishonest to say that I didn’t understand it after scolding for a long time?). With the degree of love for this film, it should not be necessary to watch it again to make sure that I am not firing a gun. The above comments are not responsible.

A lousy film that two brothers collaborated on.
