Profound but ugly, unusual but historical.

An epic movie full of historical depth, I highly doubt that the score is not high because the threshold for watching this kind of movie is too high (there are many places where the speed of speech is very fast, and it is really difficult to keep up with the relationship with the political struggle...). The director is really a genius, "War Horse" and this one have a good look and feel.

The reason why it is called epic is because it is not difficult to write a great biography of a great man as a national leader and make the above-mentioned movie, but the auxiliary line in this movie shows a lot of Lincoln as an ordinary man and an ordinary father. :

In order not to let the second son die like the eldest son, he opposes joining the army with his unique title of "Supreme Commander"; like an ordinary office worker, he goes home from get off work in the Senate and accompanies the children to watch dramas.etc...

I have seen the extraordinary leader born under the great system of that era, and the great rewards he gave to that era. In the face of abolition, there is no so-called political party, only for the interests of the United States of America.

The final assassination part was rushed, but I liked it very much. This is probably the most intuitive feeling of the people of that era when they heard the news!

Finally, as a world history student, I am really ashamed, thinking that knowing a little bit of a certain country's history is excellent? ? ? You can't even read a movie for the general public to popularize the country's history...

As a biographical film, this film does not summarize Lincoln's life, but extracts the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to achieve the purpose of characterizing. The audience will see that there are not only radicals behind the abolition of slavery. His blood, as well as the politicians that had to be used for human equality, it was this restoration of history that made Lincoln's role fuller, and of course DDL's performance was also indispensable.

No human rights are won through blood and tears, especially when human rights and greed are sent to trial. Love and kindness are not instincts but missions.

  • [the three Confederate peace representatives cross the border into Union territory; heading towards their carriage, they balk when they see it being guarded by black soldiers. At last, Stephens steps toward the waiting door]
