If you go too far, you may forget why you set out

I watched a movie before, called "Synonyms", about the protagonist trying to get rid of his Israeli-style fate, trying to forget his native language and integrate into French culture. This is a betrayal of one's own native language, a betrayal of one's native culture. As for the film I reviewed today, some people said that it should not be translated as "Welcome to the North II", because it did not follow the plot of the previous film, which does not matter. But this one still reflects the northern French dialect, and the reason why I want to mention the film "Synonyms" is because this movie has a similar plot to "Synonyms", where the protagonist declares himself to be a foreigner for 25 years. Orphans, trying to get rid of the language and culture of their hometown have created a very bad impression on themselves that outsiders look like. He came to Paris from the north and lived an elegant life of the upper class. He spoke and behaved like a noble man. Until his mother brought his brother, sister-in-law and his family to Paris to find him, the truth was gradually revealed. Paris is indeed very prosperous, very romantic, and very elegant, but it also deceives a person's original intention. The protagonist is dragged by the superficial glitz and has never returned home for 25 years. But even if he was trying to get rid of it, after he heard his mother tell him that he didn't want to see him again in this life, his things still ached. Later, after the protagonist experienced a car accident caused by his father-in-law, his identity was dislocated and his mind returned to its original state. So after his memory was restored, he began to make up for the past with actions little by little. One of the episodes that impressed me was the protagonist's niece saying to him: It's complicated. You adults always say. You won't understand, it's hard to explain, don't ask so many questions, you'll understand when you're older. But as you grow up, life becomes more difficult to understand, and what you miss most is when you were young. Yes, when we grow up, we are farther and farther from our origin, and we have gone too far. After that, we will really forget why we set out. It may be that we encountered too beautiful scenery on the way, which made us linger and no longer think about going back. Take a look. The tempering in social life has gradually made our thinking more complicated. We have learned to be tactful in life and to pursue fame and fortune. But when I was a child, my thoughts were really simple and pure. When I had "nothing", I was the simplest and most beautiful self. Thankfully, it's not too late for the protagonist to realize this, even though it's been 25 years. Maybe life will smooth out all our original edges and corners, but we still hope that we can be as pure and kind as before.
