All endings are written

In the sweltering summer of 1935, the 13-year-old's secret love should be chaotic and overwhelmed.
However, in the dark room where the light was faintly thrown, a pair of fantasy eyes saw a scene of disillusionment. These sensitive eyes should belong to writers by nature. They observe all the people around them with uncontrolled self-confidence and nervousness. Because of jealousy, the vague hatred is particularly strong. I want to destroy, I want to punish, I feel that I should be the destined witness to judge the so-called evil.

On such a sultry British summer night, her thirteen-year-old childhood came to an end here forever. From then on, it is the shackles of a lifetime. Opposite her, a pair of fateful hands separated the two people who could have the most beautiful love. A strait, a war, the regret of separation that made us shed tears. And she, the initiator of all this, has prepared a lifelong road of redemption for herself after her childhood farewell at the age of 13. Does this road have an end?
All the endings have been written, and all the tears have already set off, but suddenly I forgot what kind of beginning, the one who jumped down for her by the flowery green water? Or the wet figure trembling in the undercurrent of love? We all know that a final reunion is impossible, and while it's not too good to be true, it's still an extravagant thought.

White-haired, waiting to die, she just gave us the last illusion, with a pen.
In the days when the tide went away, the boy who went to confess his love to the girl on the summer night had died early on the beach in Dunkirk, and the woman in the green dress in the light and shadow was also buried in the surging flood.
Outside the painting, his voice is vague:
"Dearest Cecilia, the story can resume. The one I had been planning on that evening walk. I can become again the man who once crossed the surrey park at dusk, in my best suit, swaggering on the promise of life. The man who , with the clarity of passion, made love to you in the library. The story can resume. I will return. Find you, love you, marry you and live without shame. “

I have always had shallow eye sockets The audience began to cry in the second half of the film, and when the elderly Briony told about the deaths of her sisters Cecilia and Robbie, tears all over her face and neck.
Keira Knightly's performance is still very vase (she's terrible skinny, the nomination of the heroine is really watery), other actors gave me a lot of surprises, James McAvoy's temperament was captured very successfully (I started to change his mind, bad The impression is mainly from the coming Jane), the childhood Briony is terrifying, the old Briony is the last most powerful blow, a few minutes, the impression is indelible. Joe Wright's shots and tones follow the perfection of Pride and Prejudice. The only shortcoming is that I think he
is just a director who is good at portraying the inner world and delicate feelings of characters. In the second half, when the war begins, Robbie enters France, which makes people feel like a director The grasp of war is very monotonous, even for a short distance
It started to feel dull, until the long shot of the beach slowly returned to his level. The flaws do not hide the beauty. The music is also as good as ever.

The film is not good, but the long shot of nearly 5 minutes on the beach is really amazing.

The successful conclusion of the novel is not to give readers hope, but to make Brioni's late confession and comfort to herself. I think this writing technique can give them happiness, but life is not a novel. The film's pace is extremely slow and it makes people drowsy to watch. The blocky narrative technique can see the director's intentions, but the film always seems to be in a state of laziness, no matter the tension, ups and downs, suspense or sadness, it is a consistent mood.

Atonement quotes

  • Tommy Nettle: Never trust a sailor on dry land.

Older Briony: So, my sister and Robbie were never able to have the time together they both so longed for... and deserved. Which ever since I've... ever since I've always felt I prevented. But what sense of hope or satisfaction could a reader derive from an ending like that? So in the book, I wanted to give Robbie and Cecilia what they lost out on in life. I'd like to think this isn't weakness or... evasion... but a final act of kindness. I gave them their happiness.
