April Story

A long time ago, I wrote a small article called "April Story". At that time, I only felt that there was such a movie, the content and the image were not very clear. I only hurriedly described my April, and I felt sad and sad. But he didn't know that what he was carrying was a story of the same destination. Maybe April is such a good time for people to sing in the gentle spring breeze and the warm sun, singing praises for nothing but youth and love. What you missed is not missed, what you can't wait for, all are generally appropriate and beautiful.

As usual, the movie unfolds slowly in the piano Andante of Iwai Shunji and the cherry blossoms in the sky. Takashi Matsuko, whose face looks like Miho Nakayama, blooms in front of us with a bright light like snow and ice. His eyes are full of the tenderness of a girl as pure as water. Plain clothes, long skirts, and white socks are the long-lost student temperament of the whole era. The Hokkaido girl who first arrived in the city seemed a little at a loss. There is not much dialogue in the movie, and there are no characters at all. Fortunately, the heroine is eye-catching. We had to follow this low-brow and pleasing Musashino University freshman, Yuzuki Uzuki, on a bicycle, wandering the streets and alleys of Tokyo's verdant spring, isolated and unhappy.

Tokyo is big and unreasonable, and the human feelings are indifferent, but the few well-intentioned invitations are also rejected by Uzuki one by one. This quiet girl seemed to enjoy the loneliness brought by living alone in a different place. Whether it is an old movie of a person in a deserted cinema or a bizarre anthropology book in an old bookstore, it makes people more suspicious of this deliberately plain life. I gradually began to feel sorry for this elegant girl across the screen. She is so beautiful and so lonely that no one eats even a bowl of curry. In the 28th year, my aunt was alone, and the sigh was filled with envy buried deep in the ground. I couldn't help but think of those days when I held a book by the Riva River and listened to the sound of cicadas and frogs, and the afternoons when I fell asleep on the lawn. When you're young, being alone doesn't mean suffering.

It wasn't until only one third of the film was left that the director didn't rush to reveal the secret. Tokyo, Musashino, and anthropology are all intentional. Qing Juan's heart is only waiting for one person to open it. Waiting silently, it will come naturally. Uzuki follows her sweetheart to Musashino. The small bookstores that appear often, just because I hope you are here, the "inadvertent" encounter is actually painstaking, returning a broken umbrella and borrowing it, borrowing and returning it, mixing him up in the pouring rain. Numb, hard-hearted, can't help but remember this girl with pear blossoms and rain.

"When I was admitted to Musashino, my teacher said: 'This is a miracle.' If it is a miracle, it is also a miracle created by 'love'." This is the last sentence of the film. The little girl is innocent and scheming, but like a thorn with flesh and bones, hidden deep. This kind of emotion is not incomprehensible to the attractiveness of the "male protagonist" with a blurred face, but only the inexorable youthful feelings and spiritual comfort. I have passed the age and mood that I can still be called a "girl", so I can only try to understand this feeling like the same column, but I can't empathize with it. In a trance, I remembered that I was also admitted to the hospital twice on the cold winter night street in the north, just to see the boy I liked. At that time, I felt that as long as his eyes and greetings were enough for me to live a contented life for ten or eight years, a girl's heart was soft and firm, willing to give, but her demands were pitiful. Uzuki's story is clearly a happy ending, and everything has come true. Mine did the same, but the wait time was slightly longer. When I was young, I always hoped that two people could be together forever, but as a teenager, it would be too difficult to think about tomorrow. "Life after life" is really not a more abstract concept than "next year". It is impossible to talk about being together for a long time. The future is long and terrifying, like a dark cave. Talking about the future is better than the warmth and closeness of the fingers clasped together right away. However, for this real warmth, we can plan carefully and conscientiously for a long time, because the specificity of this goal is not as empty and scary as "getting old with our son". Young enthusiasm is enough to destroy all shackles.

I love Matsu Takako in the colorful fall, and even Shunji Iwai, who is used to telling about the sweetness and cruelty of youth, can't bear to make things difficult for her, and finally let go. Gentle, clear as water, heart-warming. Such a quiet romance should also be performed by her.

Like many master directors, Shunji Iwai likes to intersperse his films with distressed black-and-white films. The last time I watched Kanammodovar's "Talk to Her", I felt average about the film itself, but I really liked the silent film evaluation of the director's self-portrait. I saw Yosuke Eguchi's name in the opening subtitles and knew that he was not the male lead (because Toyokawa Etsuji was the director's favorite, and he appeared at most as a supporting actor in a robbery), but he appeared in this old film that the director took a selfie with It is really unexpected that the shape of the Edo period still does not hide his light. I always thought that Yosuke Eguchi was a peak in the heyday of Japanese dramas. He didn't have any of the short, mediocre, tall, handsome, dashing and straight-forward characters that men of the Yamato ethnic group are used to seeing. Very rare.

If life is just like the first sight, what's the matter of autumn wind and sad painting fan? It is easy to change but the old people's hearts, but the old people's hearts are changeable. I said, if life is just as first seen, it is in vain to see each other and hold hands. Where can there be so many bitter pasts, love and hatred. "April" is just like the first time in life, with illusory beauty and sweet dreams. But April will always pass, and even if you receive a little hint of goodness, it will not be enough time to grind people. We can only meet Yuye Maoyue in less than one-twentieth of the day, and her joys and sorrows, and the rest of the time, everyone's joys and sorrows increase or decrease as usual, and they are irrelevant.

This is a movie that has no choice but to fade away. Youth, whether it is still in hand, clinging to, quietly, or something that has passed away, must not be left, nor pursued. It is dreamy because it is fragile, gorgeous because it is short, and it is even more worrying because of indecision.

If life is just like the first sight, the flowers in the late spring are beautiful and beautiful. The most is when the east wind is soothing, and the clouds are scattered in an instant.

That's all for this movie.

The broken umbrella made me laugh out my twelve-year-old voice. What I want is this kind of life, a second-hand bookstore...a rainy day...a lover...a book I love, turning the pages in the sun, the dust is slightly flying...the years are quiet, and every day is a reading day.
