All the bright places look behind the scenes

First of all, what I want to say is that the ending of this movie is quite unexpected. The male protagonist saves the female protagonist but fails to save himself... If you follow the normal plot routine, the male and female protagonists save each other should be the ending of the story, but It would be a bit of a cliché to say so. Life is not perfect.

The overall rhythm of the movie is relatively slow, and the love scenes of the hero and heroine in the middle are still relatively warm and harmonious. The hero uses his patience and care to help the heroine get out of the dark, and also captures her heart by the way. I thought the movie was almost over by now, but the male protagonist couldn't escape the inner demons for many years... The female protagonist failed to help the male protagonist because the male protagonist refused the female protagonist's help and chose to bear it alone, but couldn't bear it...

Maybe this is also what the director wants to tell us. Sometimes it is better not to be stubborn. You can open your heart to others appropriately. Don't be conceited that it is useless, maybe it will be useful~

This movie is for people with mental disabilities, but it's for all of us. Many of us have a mental disorder, we just don't realize it.

What I want to say is that in the face of our own psychological problems, we must tolerate and accept ourselves, instead of disgusting and questioning ourselves. We are all ordinary people, and there will always be imperfections. Don't ask too much of ourselves.

Small literary and small fresh routine love film. The music is still good, nothing else.

All the Bright Places quotes

  • Amanda: I heard you beat the shit out of Roamer. Why do you keep doing stuff like that? Are you tired of people talking about you?

Theodore Finch: People are always gonna talk. It's their specialty.

  • [last lines]

Violet Markey: [delivering a presentation to the class] I used to be worried about everything. Things that seemed meaningful were actually meaningless. I worried about life. I worried about what would happen if I let myself feel again. I thought I didn't deserve to.

Violet Markey: Then, without really knowing, I changed. I wasn't worried about what would happen if I lived; I was worried about what would happen if I didn't... What I would miss. I worried about not remembering; not remembering all of the moments, all of the places. And that's because of Finch. Because he taught me to wander. He taught me that you don't need to climb a mountain to stand on top of the world And even the ugliest of places can be beautiful - as long as you take the time to look. And it's okay to get lost, as long as you find your way back.

Violet Markey: But, in learning all of that, I missed seeing something more important - seeing Finch. I missed that he was in pain. I missed that he was teaching me all along how to move on.

Violet Markey: Finch was a dreamer. He dreamt while he was awake. He dreamt of all the beauty in the world and he made it come to life. Finch taught me that there's beauty in the most unexpected of places. And that there are bright places even in dark times. And that if there isn't, you can be that bright place... with infinite capacities.
