Not being born may be the greatest blessing.

Decided to watch it, mostly because of Scarlett Johansson. Moved by the plot.

As some netizens commented, this movie gave me a strong feeling of two completely different parts. The first half is an ordinary romance movie, but as the plot develops, I seem to see Hitchcock-style reasoning, especially It was a conversation between two detectives after Chris left the station, and it almost made me feel like I was watching another new movie. Of course, if there is no reversal of the latter part, this film has nothing special.

Halfway through the movie, it actually made me sad. When Chris suddenly sat up from the bed where he shared a dream with his wife, I had a strong ominous premonition, even though I had no prior knowledge of the plot. The next episode, I've been watching it all the time.

I couldn't contain my anger when I saw Chris holding a shotgun to the old lady next door, why? "The Genius Ripley" is enough for such a movie, why should I take another stab on my fragile nerves. The two movies are so similar.

Endless desires have created a cruel life.

Chris has desires for status, power and wealth, but he also covets Nora's beauty, so I can't forget the tears when he came out of Nora's house and sat in a taxi at a loss. In fact, I I feel so sorry for him at that time. I don't know why, I really don't want him to be arrested.

Nora is full of desire to form an upright family, but the fault is that she does not realize that she is destroying the happiness of another woman and destroying the patience of a man. I feel bad for her hysterical roar in Chris' arms downstairs at Chris's house. It was a vent to the unfortunate upbringing, the cry of the failure of the previous marriage, the resentment of the abandonment of the previous relationship, the resentment of the past relationship. The despair of a man who gave his heart.

That sentence is really classic: Sophie Klus said - not being born is perhaps the greatest blessing.

Finally, to say something else, the

two detectives are very happy, and their appearance makes me feel like watching a French film.

When I first saw the male lead, I thought who he was. I must have seen his films, but I can't remember. After watching the movie, I looked at the movie reviews as usual, and found that it was the male protagonist of "The Children of Yellowstone". Although I haven't seen this movie, the publicity campaign during that time may have made me familiar with the male protagonist's face. I thought about it, but I always felt that there was still something left unfinished. Then I continued to read the film review, only to find that he was actually the protagonist of "August Love", ah, no wonder it was so familiar, I really liked the film, but I have never remembered it.

Besides, the actor Jonas Rhys Meyers has blue eyes that are too shallow to be seen, and those thick lips feel very similar to Scarlett Johansson. It looks like a couple, haha. Who said he looked like Tommy!

One last word, although the ending of the movie is very dark and humorous, I still have to say that extramarital affairs are terrible

  • Tom Hewett: Chlo-Chlo, do you wanna have a knock with Chris for a bit? It's just that it's 5:00 somewhere, darling, and I've some serious cocktails to start making. Irish! Have you ever had a Cuba libre or a caipirinha?

Chloe Hewett Wilton: It'd be really boring for Chris to play with me on my own.

Tom Hewett: It's really boring for him to play with me, but he's a good sport. And anyway, you've got better legs than I've got. Chop-chop.

  • Chloe Hewett Wilton: I'm so bad.

Christopher "Chris" Wilton: That's how you get better. Playing with a stronger player. Come on.
