Maybe life is like this

I personally love this style of narrative.
Some people get divorced, some suffer, some take drugs, some commit suicide, and some escape. It
seems that the family is in a mess and full of contradictions, but it seems that the problems are not too serious.
During the whole process, I never felt sad. It was obviously a mess. The lover left, the family fell apart, and the sand business collapsed... Maybe, this is how life is supposed to be.

Many exciting things often feel fleeting, but in hindsight, the pain seems to be insignificant in the long run of time, even though at the time, we may feel that the pain is long and hopeless.
I always feel that as we grow older, we want more and more things, and our desires become stronger and stronger. When we were young, a lollipop could satisfy us. Later, we wanted sneakers, sports cars, rich husbands and beautiful girls. ... of course this is understandable, due to human nature. But looking back, is it true that those simple pleasures can no longer satisfy us? Not so.
I think people don't really know what they want. When you have experienced everything, you may understand it in retrospect, but the price is often very high, so we have to make a choice and start calculating personal gains and losses. Hope the investment always pays off.
There are times when we get caught in it and lose a lot.
I like Tenenbaum's dad, he's really a failed dad, but he still understands what to do, he has to pay some responsibilities, and these efforts have given him a lot.
Maybe our life really doesn't need too many good memories, as long as you understand what you want to do, it will be full of meaning for you.

Dad is honorable. When everyone keeps denying him, he has been confused and shameless, and when he is helpless, he let go of obsession and let go of himself. Weiss created a number of delicate and clear drama conflicts, which seemed to show the various emotions of the family life, the emotions that could not be compensated, and if I had to list one, two, three, and four, it would be a long one. Even though it was so tangled, the single order of, moved a little bit of it.

No matter how high the intelligence and no matter how successful a business is, it cannot fill the void of the spirit. Human beings should remain humble before a grand and unpredictable destiny. Winners in life will also be overwhelmed by traumas and misfortunes. The arrogance and arrogance that we may have when we are advancing will be turned into dust. This is why we cannot leave the various forms of spiritual comfort such as religion, family happiness, and addictive substances.

The Royal Tenenbaums quotes

  • [Henry has gathered the family into Royal's room]

Henry Sherman: Pagoda has something to say.

Pagoda: [points at Royal] He has a cancer.

Henry Sherman: No, he doesn't. I know what stomach cancer looks like. I've seen it. And you don't eat three cheeseburgers a day with french fries if you got it. The pain is excruciating.

    Royal: How would you know?

Henry Sherman: My wife had it. Not only is there no Dr. McClure at Colby General, there is no Colby General. It closed in 1974.

Royal: [getting out of bed] Aw, shit, man.

    Pagoda: Oh, shit, man.

  • Royal: Hell of a damn grave. Wish it were mine.
