The villain is powerless, the superman is futile

Even if you are a superhero with great powers, if you don't have a good enough villain to match, you will still be eclipsed. This "Green Lantern" proves this, although such inferences have been confirmed long ago.

Compared to those "I just want to watch superheroes" friends, we are in the "movie-watching" category. This film just follows the traditional routine, the biggest problem is that the villain is not powerful. Whether it's the abstract Parallax, or its Earth spokesperson, the characters are completely undigged and stay on paper from start to finish. Although we all know that the end of such a story must be the victory of good over evil, but how many people can attract a heavyweight boxer to beat a lightweight boxer?

Compared to Marvel's previous release of "X-men: the first class", this DC Comics superhero lost to the villain. The Sebastian Shaw played by Kevin Bacon is terrifying to the extreme. Although the whole film does not highlight the influence of "fear" on the growth of superheroes, from the killing of the mother at the beginning of the film, to the energy backlash in the middle, to the final ending of death, from the beginning What we see at the end is a ruthless and ambitious ultimate boss, not to mention his physical and psychological impact on Magneto. In this film, what we see is a paper demon who keeps saying "fear" but cannot reflect "fear" at all. I have to say that the final battle between the pros and cons was a bit too hasty, and Green Lantern did not experience too many setbacks in his growth experience. Encouraged by his girlfriend, let him find his responsibilities; the "feat" of saving the earth is just a city. We don't know how such a "superhero" can impress an increasingly discerning audience, and the 3D effect is not ideal.

For a film like Green Lantern, the effect of 3D is not to face the audience sideways, not to let us appreciate Reynolds' profile face, but to walk towards the audience and make people feel a sense of presence. There are some problems with the director's shooting method. Although the film uses 3D technology, the shooting is still in traditional 2D thinking. It has to be said that this is a regrettable thing in itself.

Different from the "Batman" produced by DC in recent years and the new version of "Superman" in filming, this film lacks in-depth excavation, and can only be considered as a "money-wrap" that DC hastily launched under the pressure of Marvel's competition. In fact, the market's response was not ideal, and such an outdated film could no longer meet the needs of the audience. At a time when Marvel was starting to change, we really didn't know what medicine was being sold in DC's gourd.

Hopefully, in the sequel, we can see a more complete Green Lantern, not just a creampie who knows magic.
