The file girl named Erin in the movie lives in Chicago Chinatown. Could it be that the rent in Chinatown is cheap? Excluding hygiene and other environments may be relatively poor. Chinatown is often located not far from downtown. The two factors conflict with each other, and it is really unclear what the rent is.
The two leading actors, Mel Gibson has always looked old. Born in 1956, he was quite old in 1995's "Brave Heart". Helen Hunt, who played Darcy, was born in 1963. In this 2000 movie, it looks like he is already more than 40. In a group of Hollywood actresses who appear to be eternally young, it is really tragic.
It should just be a 3 star movie, and one more star for Gibson's performance.
