Stranger than Fiction - 9/10

The script is quite new, and it reminds me of another favorite film, The Truman Show. The choice of actors in this film is also perfect. I didn't expect Will Ferrell to play the main drama and be as good as Jim Carrey. In addition, Emma Thompson's performance as a supporting role is quite brilliant. Maggie Gyllenhaal's role in this film is also very popular. Although she is not a beautiful type, she always has an attractive aura. When a character like Dustin Hoffman becomes a part of a movie, you know it's going to get an A+ for the acting part.

But after all, the biggest attraction of this film is the script and lines. How to live your own life, is it to follow the rules or to be imaginative? Such questions may only be considered when you know that you are about to die. Life is a fictional novel. Although some fates are beyond your control, those choices that belong to you should always be fought for. Movies like this convey real positive energy!

PS movie soundtrack is also very good!

It looks new but it doesn't taste right at all. The image of the male protagonist is downgraded. Although the supporting roles are all big names, they are not flashy. It feels very similar to Jim Kelly's Truman. Very general.

Stranger Than Fiction quotes

  • Kay Eiffel: ...It came to me.

    Penny Escher: How?

Kay Eiffel: Well, Penny, like anything worth writing it came inexplicably and without method.

  • Dr. Mittag-Leffler: Mr. Crick, you have a voice speaking to you.

Harold Crick: No, not to me - about me. I'm somehow involved in some sort of story, like I'm a character in my own life. But, the problem is that the voice comes and goes, like there are other parts of the story not being told to me. And I need to find out what those other parts are before it's too late.

Dr. Mittag-Leffler: Before the story concludes with your death.

    Harold Crick: Yes.

Dr. Mittag-Leffler: [clears throat] Mr. Crick, I hate to sound like a broken record, but that's schizophrenia.

Harold Crick: You don't sound like a broken record, but, it's just, not schizophrenia.
