Kojima's afterthought

The ending of the story is a bit unexpected, but the whole film does not feel terrifying to me, but I am often frightened by the sudden screams of children or adults. What terrible things have happened to their screams? In fact, in this film, people and ghosts are frightened to the same degree. They both feel that they are the real victims.
I often hear such screams in real life, often because a big bug flies over a girl, so they can't help screaming from their sharp and slightly trembling voices Judging that they were frightened as much as they saw a ghost.
Maybe it just complied with the director’s request, because he needed a face full of fear and despair on the screen, so we saw Nicole Kidman’s desperately widened eyes full of horror, which was caused by extreme fear. The facial expression is slightly distorted, but I think she is acting too hard, a bit too much.
Among those books or films that can have a terrifying effect in my heart, "Monkey Paw" in the Bookworm series is definitely the top number. Whenever you think something is going to happen, but nothing happens. When you finally put down your guard and relax, things happen suddenly, making you so unprepared. The important thing is that the author leaves you enough room for imagination, and this is the most terrifying.
