Lynn: A woman who can be forgiven

Lynn, starring Kim Basinger, has a lot of drama but is a supporting role.

Wearing a black long coat and walking slowly when she appeared on the stage, she couldn't see her face at first. After she turned her head, she had a black hat with a white border. But judging from the whole film, she is not.

Lynne is full of flattery, and the temptation to cover up flows in the dark, tempting everyone, that kind of temperament, as long as a man can't stand it, Congressman Roger, Bud, Edmund all took the bait, Bud did not regard her as a star , Which makes her feel respected, but that is not love.

Seducing Bud was premeditated, and it was no different from seducing Edmund. Provoking a conflict between them is nothing more than hoping that they will kill each other. As for whoever dies, it will be satisfactory.

Seduction and blackmail are their specialty, even without Edmund. The picture of her and Bud in bed will come in handy sooner or later. As the top card among those senior prostitutes, it's impossible for Lynn to understand this. Lynn waited for Bud to come to her, showing that she already knew the truth.

Bud asked: What's the matter between you and Edmund?

Lynn: I thought I was helping you.

This is a complete lie, and if she thinks this is helping Bud, then she is a pure fool. Does Bud need help? Did he and Edmond have an irreconcilable conflict that needed her to go to bed with Edmond to resolve it?

From the beginning of the film to the end, Lynn's words and deeds show that she is not a fool, so she can only lie.

She didn't fall in love with him at all before, she was just acting, acting in the play requested by the boss, Bud's injured look in the heavy rain shocked her, maybe she had a little bit of love for Bud from that moment.

It can only be said that women are inherently weak, no matter what they have done, they can be forgiven.

That’s why Lynn had the opportunity to say: Someone won the world, some won a good prostitute and a trip to Arizona.

It has flavor! This film is a film about recognizing people~ How many familiar faces~ A guy floating by the roadside is an acquaintance, life~ But then again, I didn’t really guess who the bad guy was, and I didn’t even feel that there should be Bad guy, this is supposed to be a pre-genre movie. .

L.A. Confidential quotes

  • [Stocking a box with liquor for the police's Christmas party]

Liquor Store Owner: If I ever get held up, you guys better be here.

  • Ray Pinker: Bud White - what brings *you* to the basement?

Bud White: I got a couple Nite Owl questions.

Ray Pinker: I don't know if you'd read the papers, but that case is closed.

Bud White: Is there anything bothering you about it, Ray?

Ray Pinker: Yeah, the fact that the pack-up boys haven't carted this shit out of here yet.

[Bud sees all the boxes of case files, and starts to look through the crime scene photos]

Ray Pinker: I got three shotguns, taken from the suspects, that match the strike marks on the shells from the Nite Owl. What more do you want?

Bud White: [suddenly spotting a detail in a photo] There's blood on the wall here. I thought everybody but the cook got shot in the men's room?

Ray Pinker: That is Stensland's blood.

    Bud White: Stensland?

Ray Pinker: He took a blow to the head. Was probably unconscious when they dragged him in the john.

Bud White: Did they hit anybody else?

Ray Pinker: No. But he was a cop, he probably tried to "do something."

Bud White: [remembering that Stensland said he had a date that night, he studies a photo showing a table with two settings, including a coffee mug smudged with lipstick] Grilled cheese, black coffee... two of the victims were women, right?

Ray Pinker: Yeah - Patti DeLuca, the night-shift waitress, and a Susan Lefferts.

    Bud White: Susan Lefferts...

Ray Pinker: Yeah, what about her?

[Bud runs out of the room]

    Ray Pinker: You're welcome!
