The overall feeling is not so bad, at least the atmosphere is ok

Americans filming Asian horror is the same thing as speaking English with Japanese. It's an improvement over the "Ghost Niche" in Thailand: the izakaya monk and monster culture should have all the elements, and the atmosphere soundtrack has the feeling of a work of farming aids and investigations.
Internationalization can occasionally make money, but it is absolutely not good for the quality of the film. I really can't think of a suitable comment on the theme of foreign fools jokingly rushing to foreign countries to die. The screenwriter may have referred to The Grudge and some documentaries, so he thinks he is familiar with Japanese culture, and the fur that he shoots can't even be surprised at first glance.
