"The Alien"

I just came back after traveling for ten days. Continue to watch movies, continue to write impressions.

There are two movies named "Ginger", one is from 2012, and the one I watched is from 2018.

The story is about a corporate executive, Harold, who is bullied by his boss Richard, his wife is seduced, and he faces unemployment. In frustration and anger, a farce of fake kidnapping was directed. While Richard was struggling to save or not, Harold was really kidnapped by a Mexican gang. This led to a series of interesting plots.

I don't know why, but this movie has received a lot of bad reviews online. From the director to the cast, to the plot design to the shooting techniques, the individual was criticized for its inexhaustibility. I think the plot of the movie is quite interesting, and it is comparable to "Two Smoking Guns". In addition to the usual kidnappings, gun battles, some unexpected coincidences, some interesting dialogues, and some character shaping, it is a good comedy film. Maybe my level of appreciation can only be watching such a movie.

Excerpted from a dialogue, Richard and his mistress Irene are discussing whether to save Harold.

Irene: "We can't throw Harold in Mexico, it's bullshit."

Richard: "It's you who said you should have overtaken him."

Irene: "I always say big things, and I don't really mean that."

Richard: "But you're saying 'really' someone should have saved him."

Irene: "My God! This is really not that real. It's just an exaggerated tone, it doesn't mean it's true."

Take a look at these chariot words, are they like Guo Degang's cross talk?

After Harold was rescued by Sunny, Harold told Sunny about his own experience, he himself obeyed his father's teaching, be honest and do things honestly, but always had bad luck, and his uncle was a liar, just like now Our ancestor of telecom fraud.

Sunny: "Your uncle cheated money from others?"

Harold: "Yeah. He's one of them. Now my uncle has a lot of houses, land, sports cars and a yacht. The world has turned upside down and I don't think good people are rewarded. Like you, you look like good people, But do you have a sports car? Do you have a yacht?"

Sunny: "I don't need a sports car or a yacht. I think you're wrong. I think the world is good and some people in the world are bad."

Seeing this, I have a few thoughts.

First, is the world we live in good or bad? In fact, the existing world does not matter whether it is good or bad. As the philosopher said: existence is reasonable. It also means that existence is irrational. The existence of today denies the existence of the past, and the existence of tomorrow denies the existence of today. Moreover, "reasonable" itself is also judged by our worldly eyes. Then this vision itself is also a kind of existence, and there are also reasonable and unreasonable elements. The world develops according to its own laws, regardless of regimes, institutions, personal preferences, and of course values. We live in it, depending on how we see it and how we live our lives. In my opinion, the best way to survive is to understand this law, and under the guidance of this law, to adapt and try to change the world.

Second, what is the standard of the so-called "good news"? According to Harold, the "good news" is to have a car, a house and a yacht. Maybe that's what most people are after. And for Sunny in the film, none of that is needed. People will have more desires after satisfying the basic needs of survival and worrying about food and clothing. Some people prefer more wealth and count money from sacks every day. Some people like to deal with celebrities, rich and beautiful cars. Some people like to go boating on rivers and seas, lingering in the breeze and bright moon. Dissatisfaction is like a car, carrying dissatisfied people to progress and develop. However, no matter what desire you have, no matter what way you use to achieve it, there is still a premise, that is, you can't hurt others. Desire is like a fire, some people burn themselves to illuminate others, while others just burn themselves and get nothing. For example, the old woman in "The Story of a Fisherman and a Goldfish", although she has the desire to be an overlord, finally lives by her broken wooden basin. There are also a bunch of evil fires, such as Richard and Irene in the film, who are willing to betray their friends for their own money, but they will not die in the end. Therefore, the "good reward" in everyone's heart is different, and it depends on their own ideas.

After talking for a long time, I wandered the eight poles, digressing thousands of miles. I have to stress again that this is an afterthought, not a movie review.

The characters in the film are also very characteristic, Harold's honesty is wise, Richard's cunning is clumsy, Irene is strong and shameless, and Sunny's fashion is kind. The music of Black Panther's invincibility. Almost everyone's personality is not black and white, but multi-faceted. It is closer to life, and it allows the audience to compare with the people and things around them when they enjoy the film. Although our lives are far less sinister and tense than the events in the film, don't those characters and trivial matters also exist around us?

My rating: 7.0.
