"Romantic Storm" (also translated "True Romance" 1993), written by Quentin Taranty and directed by Tony Scott, is a film with a deep impression of Quentin's film aesthetics and life. The movie protagonist Karen is a manga shop clerk who admires Elvis Presley and likes watching kung fu movies, which is quite similar to Quentin's own experience.

The difference is that Quentin set up a game for Karen, allowing him to meet the beautiful call girl Alabama during a movie watching. The two fell in love with each other and decided to get married. So Karen did a big thing, went to the old bustard in Alabama alone, shot the old bustard Rexel and a thug. To make matters worse, they mistakenly took a large suitcase full of drugs, and the two of them simply decided to leave Detroit and go to Los Angeles to find a friend to ship. This way, not only did the innocent old man be affected, but also the Sicilian gang rushed to Los Angeles, and a life-and-death contest was inevitable.

The brilliance of the movie is that through his friends, Karen got to know the famous Hollywood producer Lee who was preparing to shoot "Doctor Geneva". This in itself has a funny element. A wealthy businessman who is addicted to drugs, but wants to make a film that is different from that. David Lean’s literary film "Doctor Geneva", this is Quentin's cold humor. The police accidentally controlled Li's Ma Tsai. In danger, Alabama returned to the hotel room alone, and found that the cold-blooded killer was sitting in the room early with a lewd smile. With her wisdom and bravery, she finally escaped.

Just as Karen and Lee were about to complete the drug deal, the police, the cold-blooded killer, and Lee’s bodyguard started a desperate shootout. In addition to injuring his left eye, Karen was supported by Alabama and carried both of them. A box of drugs fled the scene.

The fairy tale ending allowed the two to finally live a peaceful, peaceful and happy life, and have the crystallization of love. Desperate End of the World was able to survive by chance, and let people truly see a veritable romantic storm. Quentin's movies have always had this idea: you can only survive if you are more ruthless than the bad guys.

It is hard to imagine that Brad Pitt is only playing a supporting role in it, a bad young man who is indulged in marijuana all day long without doing business. This is obviously different from Quentin's self-written and directed "Falling Dogs", "Pulp Fiction" and "A Dawn", which is inevitably branded as a Hollywood feature film. After all, this is Tony Scott's work. The younger brother of the great director Ridley Scott has always made good films. Both "High Aspirations" and "Enemies of the Nation" were made by him, and the shooting of "Romantic Storm" was purely a surprise for his swordsmanship. .

It is simply a Quentin movie, or Quentin's tribute to Hong Kong movies. The episodes of the old cinema and the rooftop are really romantic. Quentin's Hong Kong films and Kung Fu films can be seen everywhere in this film. The plots of getting the drugs by mistake, being chased and killed all the way, the manslaughter of the father, the final shootout, and the resurrection are all plots taken directly from Hong Kong films. The film looms over the circular narrative in Pulp Fiction, the violence

Romantic Quentin, romantic Tony, romantic story, a strong Hong Kong film style. The music is very powerful, creating a romantic, sad atmosphere, and the tragedy at the end, the gang cops and Hollywood movie stars are not birds.
