In the 1980s, American horror films became popular. Four of the most famous series are the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" series based on real events released in 1974, and "Moonlight" directed by John Carpenter in 1978. Panic (also known as Halloween)" series, "Black Friday" series released in 1980, and Ghost Street series released in 1984. These series are not only regarded as classics by later generations, but also successfully shaped several famous murderers in film history: Thomas the chainsaw killer, Michael Myers, Jason and the dream killer Freddy.

However, if you look at it from today's perspective, none of these four series can be called masterpieces. Both the scary methods and the characterization are very flawed. Due to the late shooting time of the "Most Ghost Street" series, there are relatively few shortcomings in these four series, and the theory of Freud’s dream is introduced. Freddy’s method of killing people in his dream is even now. It is also very novel. But this series still hasn’t jumped out of the routine, and the story line of other series is similar. It is a heroine with a group of dead teenagers and a group of completely atheistic adults. Then the murderer kills the supporting characters one by one, and finally after some resistance The story of the heroine killing the villain and miraculously survived. The subsequent sequels are also the same routine, Jason and Freddy are as diligent as the unkillable Xiaoqiang to kill the new heroine and the supporting role of the dead, their professionalism is moving-but when each series has ten parts, a total of forty When such movies appear at the same time, coupled with the suffocating special effects, it is always tiresome.

    [Marge slaps her]

  • Glen Lantz: We have reason to believe there may be something very strange going on.

Lt. Thompson: You got that right.

Nancy Thompson: What are you doing here?

Lt. Thompson: There's an unsolved murder and I hate unsolved murders, especially ones that my daughter is mixed up in. What are *you* doing here?

Nancy Thompson: Look, I just gotta see that he's okay.

Sgt. Garcia: I just checked on him ten minutes ago, he's sleeping like a baby. He's not going anywhere.
