One of the pursuits: white fog
"Where is my friend's home" is Abbas's first work that attracted worldwide attention. He told a story about a child who still had a workbook: Raza was scolded by the teacher for not copying his homework on the workbook. The teacher threatened to kick him out of school if this happened again tomorrow. When Raza's deskmate Amo came home, he found that he had taken Raza's exercise book by mistake. He decided to return it to Raza, but he didn't know Raza's home. Zha's house...
The film left me with the deepest impression of a strange white mass. I always feel like it seems to be everywhere, it's like a waving horse's tail, swinging in front of your eyes.
On the way between Amer and Raza from school, Raza ran with Amer to chase the classmate because he was photographed by a classmate. At this time, Raza had forgotten the fear brought to him by the teacher, and Amer also lost his own fear. The children ran freely and pure, tasting the simple and unforgettable happiness. And at the moment of running, Raza fell. Amer went to help him. In the narrative account of them supporting each other, there is a white horse tied in the background.
Maybe it was the white horse that moved its tail.
Just like this magical tail, Abbas took advantage of the situation to explain that Amer cleaned his pants for Raza as a narrative tail, and it was the soiled pants that brought out a paragraph of Amer looking for friends. twists and turns. These pants once became a symbol of Amer's confidence and hope. It is an evidence that Amer questioned to adults, but this evidence, confirmed by a sick old man, was shattered, and Amer fell back into aimless searching.
After the moment when the white tail swayed, the camera switched to Amer's house. Amer's white shirt on the rope, Amer's mother in a white smock, Amer's grandmother in a white skirt. Still white.
These white outfits are identical to the white shirt that Amer wears under the red vest. I don't know if Abbas had any intentional arrangements for these clothes, although white is a common color in Islamic culture. But I prefer to believe that this color expresses purity.
At the same time, I also noticed the white walls, the almost white stones in the film, the white leggings worn by the old carpenter, the display of white is not deliberately emphasized, but I still feel that they are everywhere.
The accumulation of this feeling makes me seem to see a rising fog barrier between Amer and the adult world, and they reflect a sense of separation.
This film evokes people's most feelings mainly in two aspects, on the one hand is the admiration of the true feelings, Raza's cry. Amer's helplessness, running and bewilderment all reflect the beautiful feelings between the children. In order to prevent a little friend from being thrown out of school by the teacher, Amer has done his best; on the other hand, it reflects the adult world's Self-righteous, adults often deprive children of the right to think and express in their own way. In front of children, adults are confident and arrogant.
In addition to these two aspects of experience, I think there is a very hidden contrasting force buried in it. This contrast occurs between children and adults.
In the child, I saw a kind of hard work and self-confidence from beginning to end. Amer ran and hit the road again and again, holding a firm belief: he will definitely return the exercise book to Raza. Even if this wish could not be fulfilled in the end, Amer still insisted, he wanted to eliminate his regrets by completing the homework for Raza.
This is not the case in the adult world. In addition to self-righteousness, I feel that the adult world is still permeated with a kind of loneliness and weakness. For example, Amer's grandfather, he was very strict when forcing Amer to do things, and he also told his friends the ways and methods of educating future generations. But when Amer was forcibly taken away from the exercise book by the blacksmith, he could only watch and endure it silently, without saying a word, his eyes showed weakness and at a loss. He can only dominate Amer, but he cannot protect Amer.
Another example is the old woman who was invited out of the house by Amer. The first impression of this old man is that she is dazed and helpless, as if she should be a lonely old man, which is destined. In fact, she has grandchildren, and her empty home seems to be telling that they are far from her.
The same goes for carpenters. The old carpenter told Amer about his longing for his nephew, and also faintly revealed his loneliness. In order to prove his loneliness, Abbas also "invited" a small character who sold apples. This small character "seduced" Information about the elderly without children and grandchildren.
Synchronized with this information is the life philosophy reflected by the wooden door and the iron door. Young people like the iron door. They think that the iron door will not break and can be used for a lifetime. But the old people saw the wooden door being used year after year. They said: "The iron door may be used for a lifetime, but they don't know how long it will be."
With so much information, this "children's film" has become far-reaching. Childlike innocence becomes the shell of the load of thought.
Therefore, the kind of sincerity among children can only be regarded as a way for Abbas to express his thoughts. Behind the innocence, there is an adult world like a white mist, which seems to be just obscured. While obscuring it, it is faintly radiating light.
And this light may become more and more dazzling and brighter after the fog barrier dissipates.

The first Abbas. The one most willing to listen and help him is an old man without a successor, wearing the same ragged socks as him. Doors, wind, flowers, how simple and romantic.

He overslept again, and ran to Xiaoxitian to watch the second half while standing by the stairs of the museum. The small flowers in the workbook and the workbook hidden in the vest prove the original tenderness of people who can "hear" each other. The last one I watched in the trilogy can be regarded as the inward growth of "Growth and Flow" in terms of viewing. From the director's search to Ahmed's search, it constitutes a three-layer screen inside-outside embedding The final base of the set. Children grow up so fast, touched?
