The curse has nothing to do with numbers, it has nothing to do with paranoia

No matter how brilliant Jim Carrey's drama is, he is still known to us as a comedian. So when he has a relationship with horror movies, it will make people feel a little bit curious.
In fact, the suspense of the film is far greater than the horror. The film basically does not have any sense of horror that will cause discomfort to others. I even waited for the protagonist to happen, but nothing happened until the end. Even though everything is closely related to 23, it seems to be irrelevant to the curse. Walter has forced himself into a desperate situation. No matter how powerful the curse is, it is not as good as the paranoid self-destruction.
The Walter Sparrow family's life was originally stable and comfortable, if they hadn't encountered this book, they would still have a smooth and comfortable life. However, paranoia still made him deviate from the course of life. Just like the doctor said, 23 is just a number. If you want to find coincidences that match it, it will naturally abound. The same is true of 24 and 25. It's normal, but there are always people who don't think so. Who makes them paranoid?
In the end, the film did justify itself. This is something that many horror films can't do. If they can't, they will bring in ghosts and aliens to prevaricate, telling the audience that everything they don't understand is caused by supernatural power. But this film is obviously more advanced. Although Walter can clearly remember his childhood and forget everything when he grows up, we can also say that he is selective amnesia. And the old man hurriedly committed suicide when he saw Walter just because he was afraid of being accused of copyright infringement? Then why should he print his address on the back of the book. But in short, these are not fatal flaws. Although the editing work is not smooth enough, at least it is not full of loopholes. It's just that why the number is 23, I still don't know.
In the red-painted room, reading a book named "23" with a red cover, a weird curse. Looking back at the same bright red jersey hanging on the wall, the number 23 is clearly printed on the back.

23 is a better gimmick. Although the entire narrative structure is mature and a bit clichéd, the tension is still enough to attract everyone's nerves.

I don't understand it, but it subverted Jim Carrey's acting skills and saw a different Jim Carrey
