Being Julia, being a wise woman.

Watching this movie, it's all about Annette Bening. In 2004, she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress for her role as Juliet, but unfortunately lost to Hillary Swank's Million Dollar Baby. Watching this movie today, thinking back to the million babies I've seen, I don't quite understand why the Oscar jury favored Swank's masculinity and ignored Bening's style.
The story is simple. An old woman no longer has passion for life and business. At the most emptiness and loneliness, a young man took advantage of it and successfully occupied her heart. But then she found out that it was all just a scam, the young man was just a playboy who just wanted to cheat her out of money and take advantage of her fame. In the end, she used her little scheming and reason to retaliate against the liars and successfully regained everything that belonged to her.
when you're on the stage acting, theatre is the only reality, everything else, the world outside, what civilians call the real world, is nothing but fantasy. This sentence is said by Jimmie, who taught Julia to act at the beginning of this movie. It is very vivid, drama is like life, and life is like drama. We always think that everything on the stage is illusory, but how real is life? It's just that everyone's point of view is different.
Women are always lost in love, and it is often said that women in love are fools, irrational and selfless. The same is true for Julia in the movie. When the man who was young enough to be her son broke into her life, she was helpless and completely intoxicated. The beauty of love at the beginning made her young and made her energetic, maybe not wanting to let the young lover see her bloated body, she even started working out, very cute move. Despite this, the young lover betrayed her, perhaps it should be said that he never loved her and was just trying to use her money and fame. She was very sad and lost, so she chose to retire and returned to her home to recuperate. But when she learned that the young girl who stole her lover actually had an affair with her husband, she got angry and decided to fight back. She actively cooperated with the rehearsal of the new drama, willing to be a green leaf, and even tried her best to look humble. Everything is just an illusion, and it is a careful deployment before counterattack, so that is a smart woman. When she suddenly changed roles on the day of her premiere and dramatized the whole truth on stage, she was a huge success, disciplined the young actress, her lover, and her husband evenly and subtly. .
In this movie, I have a very favorite character that is Lord Charles. From my understanding, this man likes Julia, but due to social pressure, he can only maintain a relationship with her as a friend. When Julia wanted to develop a relationship with him, he turned her down. He said: "You don't know how much I love you, but in my way." Very gentleman. He knows what he wants, understands the responsibilities he has to take, and can accurately grasp the sense of distance.
At the end of the movie, Julia walks into the restaurant alone and asks for her favorite beer. Just enjoy your own beer alone. From the emptiness and loneliness at the beginning to the calmness now, I think this is enough.
Although I was once lost and felt that my boring life was about to drive me crazy, the occasional indulgence always seemed so unwise. Fortunately, I finally realized that I can't give up my dignity to love someone and take back what belongs to me.

She is beautiful, full of charm, and elegant. She can enjoy, achieve, think, be lonely, and be sad. But the most important thing is that she coldly sees life being stupid, and coldly sees life's reality. She is Julia, that charismatic woman with a stage like life!
