I watched "Shinjuku Incident" on PPS today. I didn't want to watch it, and I didn't have any hope for this film, but a netizen in the group mentioned it and wanted to find it out, only to find that the film is about the survival of Chinese people in Japan. The description of the current situation is almost identical to what a friend who spent three years in Japan told me.
My friend went to Japan to work and earn money. He went to a language school in Japan for a year, brushed dishes, and worked as a chef. Later, he was forced to make a living and joined the Northeast Gang. He told me a lot of stories about life in Japan, and I combined the plots in the movie to talk about my friend's experiences and experiences in Japan.

When he first arrived in Japan, he was going to a language school. The money earned in China couldn't help but be spent in Japan, and soon the family's money was spent. Because of the language barrier, I couldn't find a job, and because I had no money, four big men often ate a piece of paper noodles for two days. During the most difficult time, there was no food for three days. I was so hungry that I went to Kaminarimon in Asakusa. There was a small stream with huge carp in it. Japan offered them as carp gods. A few of them went there to catch the carp gods to eat while people were not paying attention, but they ran away after being discovered.

Later, he found a job washing dishes, but he was always bullied by the Japanese in the store, and he was promoted to chef. When I asked, I realized that I had been deceived. The signed labor agreement was invalid, and I suffered from the loss of not understanding Japanese laws.

Later, in the Internet cafe opened by the landlord, a person broke in and shouted, "Everyone from Xiaowei will come out." As a result, more than 200 people rushed out. It turned out that they knew that Japan is a triad of Chinese gangs.
Dawei Xiaowei is a Japanese-born Harbin native and an orphan after the war. He returned to Japan when he was a teenager. When he was in his 20s, he organized a mob, and later developed into the largest Chinese underworld force in Tokyo. Dawei and Xiaowei's people, the police and Japanese gangsters should also give some face. Later, an accident happened to Dawei. A person died in their field. He was from Changchun. He died of a drug overdose. During the police investigation, they discovered the murder case on Dawei. Dawei went to prison, but Xiaowei is still that gang. the big boss. This gang is not famous in China, and my friends don't know how to say it in Chinese.

In order to survive, some of my friends and the others also joined the local gangs. The most powerful local gangs are the Northeast Gang and Fujian Gang. Just like what Lin Xue said at the beginning of the film, these gangs live for money. Japanese gangs rarely fight infighting, but Chinese gang brothers can kill their bosses for a small amount of money, which is vividly shown in the film. The Tohoku Gang that my friend belongs to belongs to the Inagawa Society and is the biggest force in Tokyo. The main force of the familiar Yamaguchi-gumi is in Osaka. Gangs in Japan are legal organizations, and if they don’t commit crimes, the police will not interfere. Usually, each gang also has money and everyone makes money together. The gang in there is a machine, just like in the movie.
In the movie, there is a scene where Lin Xue steals things, and openly takes away a bucket of golf equipment on the street. Later, he is told that it is worthless and wants to steal clothes. Friends say that the most stolen items in Japan are high-end cosmetics, medicines and clothes. A special iron ruler is used to pry the car, and the door will open when you dig it through the gap of the car window. It is not for stealing the car. It is very difficult for Japanese cars to shoot, mainly to steal the wallet and valuables inside. He knew a woman who went to Japan for 15 years. She bought almost nothing. She stole it from the supermarket. She stole the label of the product. Let the people from the supermarket help to send it out. The supermarket also considers her to be a big customer and respects her very much. The scene of the robbery is just like in the movie, directly blocking both sides of the alley to tell people that it is a robbery, and if you don't run, you won't be rough.
My friend is in a club that fights machines. They have a clear division of labor. Some fight Pachinko in the movie, and some fight other machines. My friend is also playing one of them, called SLOT, which is similar to 777's gameplay. The explanation in the movie is not clear. Some computer rooms in Japan are spitting steel balls and some are spitting coins. These things cannot be exchanged directly for money, but can only be exchanged for prizes at the bar before going out. The Japanese is called "Kingpin", and then these scenery items can be sold outside at the original price. It's the money you make. The cheating in the movie is the use of chips, which is an earlier method of cheating. When my friend was there, he used a pulse device. When he went in, he carried the device on his body. He hung a metal wire on the machine, and then pressed the button on his body to adjust the pulse frequency. He kept trying to find the frequency of the machine. Seconds, as slow as a few minutes, the machine can be turned on, and then immediately go out to remove the equipment on the body, and then come back to sit on the machine again. This machine is easily manipulated and it is easy to break out the big prize. At most, he played for a whole day and earned 50,000 yuan. Because of the cooperation between the clubs, he also went to a hall of the Yamaguchi-gumi, as well as the headquarters of several gangs, which are almost the same as in the movie.
As for the change from white paper to beverages, in the past, because there were no counterfeit currency in Japan, the vending machine identification only depended on the size and thickness of the paper, and could not distinguish between true and false. In the beginning, some middle school students used white paper to buy cigarettes and smoke. Later, it was used by a large number of Chinese. Therefore, Japan added money detection equipment to vending machines, which is no longer effective.
There is also a movie, when everyone cheered together during the Spring Festival, the landlord came in and shouted to stop, not only because it was too noisy, but also because the garbage was not sorted. This is also experienced by my friends. Some of my friends know that garbage needs to be sorted, but they still don't do it. There is no such troublesome thing in China, but later the landlord told them that he had sorted their garbage and asked them next time. Classify yourself, or dare them to go out.
The reason why my friend returned to China later was that several Chinese students in Fukuoka killed a Japanese family. This incident can still be found on Baidu. Later, Japan shortened the duration of all Chinese visas and adjusted it to one visa a year or half a year. , and many people will not be able to renew. Generally, foreigners who have difficulties go to the embassy, but the Chinese embassy simply ignores the experience of the Chinese, and even does not accept them at all. Friends have no choice but to return to China.
The Chinese have a special identity in Japan, with different cultures and status gaps. Discrimination often comes not from the Japanese, but from the Chinese themselves. The embassy is not willing to protect its own people, and it is more useful to contact the Japanese police if something goes wrong. It makes it difficult for Chinese people abroad to survive.
This film may not be considered excellent, but it does reflect the difficult situation of Chinese people living at the bottom of Japan. The somewhat bloody and brutal style reminds one of Shunji Iwai's "Swallowtail Butterfly". The same cruel, the same harrowing, just less romantic sadness.
