Drawing of people blending into the background

I accidentally watched the 1964 Japanese film "Strange Talk" directed by Masaki Kobayashi, a very good film. "Strange talk" is actually "talking about weirdness". Like the structure of "Strange Story", the content is also about Japanese ghost stories.

But in this movie, the content doesn't seem to be so important. It turned out that when I watched "Lola Run", I learned that the way of telling a story can be more important than the content of the story itself, and "Strange Talk" shows that, The atmosphere of the storytelling can also be more exciting than the content of the story itself.

It's hard to use one or two words to describe the atmosphere in the movie. If you insist, it's almost solemn, thin, and weird. The characters are not prominent, the shots are mainly full-scale and mostly still shots, the characters have few lines, and the background music, ambient sound, and even the sound effects are highlighted. The layout of the scenes is very beautiful, and in the story of the second chapter "Snow Girl", the layout of the scenes even has a surreal feel. After weakening the characters and improving other effects, the performance and the overall atmosphere have been brought to an equally important position, and all the elements have been integrated into a whole force to fully demonstrate the aesthetic taste of the Japanese nation. Like a picture where the characters and the background blend into one, it's a ghost story movie with a temperament.

Later, I checked Kobayashi Masaki, and he was of the same era as Kurosawa Akira, but it should belong to the younger generation. In addition to this, there are other excellent works such as "Tokyo Trial", "Human Condition", and "Belly Cut". A humanist guru and director who confessed to Japan's WWII crimes, Gana's regular. I think if it is not the same era as Akira Kurosawa, it should have achieved even greater fame.

The whole movie tells four ghost stories. In terms of plot, I personally think the most interesting is the story of the second "Snow Girl". One old man and one young man went out to collect firewood, and in the middle of the night encountered a blizzard and hid in an abandoned house. The snow girl suddenly appeared and killed the old man, but she loved the appearance of the young man and couldn't bear to do it, but asked the young man to keep a tight lip about what happened that night, even the closest people. After the young man returned, he became seriously ill and recovered a year later. He went out to collect firewood again, and met a beautiful woman who was going to Edo. The youth persuaded the woman to stay in the village and later became his wife. The woman was very virtuous, filial to her mother-in-law, gave birth to three children, and had a youthful appearance, which was envied by the villagers. Ten years of happy life. But on another occasional blizzard night, the young man mentioned to his wife the encounter with the Snow Maiden ten years ago. After listening, his wife changed her body and became a snow girl, saying that the young man betrayed his oath and wanted to kill him, but it was fine for the sake of the child. After speaking, he disappeared into the snow.

In this story, Xue Nv's mentality is very interesting. On the one hand, she is committed to becoming an ordinary, submissive woman who lives happily with the man she loves, trying to make his man forget the terrifying one ten years ago in this way. The night and the oath to another "woman", on the other hand, she sticks to her inner self-principle and will never allow betrayal. But it is very tragic for young people. On the one hand, there is a sword of Damocles hanging over his head, and on the other hand, he trusts his wife. Finally, after speaking, although he did not lose his life, he lost all happiness. The wound from ten years ago was opened again, and there was only one snowy night left.

In fact, whether it is ghosts or us, both situations can be encountered. That is to insist on self and have to put on various postures for their own desires. Or wishful thinking about what someone thinks they are, only to find out the truth and get hurt.

All things have animism, and human nature is an integrated body, and ghosts and ghosts are nothing but fragments of the soul after dismantling.

nice! purely! The script as a whole is very simple, but the atmosphere is very strange. It is all in the control of editing, scenery, lighting, sound effects and makeup, and the whole is impeccable. The last story is very interesting, alluding to the original author Koizumi Yakumo at the same time giving four unrelated stories a whole, wonderful. What's more interesting is that Koizumi is an Englishman. The story is written by his Japanese wife, written by Koizumi Yakumo, and then by Kobayashi Masaki, and the story is still authentic.

♥ Dongbao. 1 The Japanese version of Liaozhai, the movement of the mirrors, the pictures, the scenery, the colors, and the soundtrack are all very good, and the production in the 1960s is still there. But the 183-minute slow narrative is exhausting. 2 "Snow Girl" in the heroine Kishi Keiko dew two points. 3 I don't know if the nude woman painted full of scriptures in Gui Zhihong's "Evil" refers to "Fang without Ears". ★★★★D118 (uncut full version/D9/Weixin WX-0501/English 2 repair full version + Taiwan 3 subtitles + 3 version preview
