There is a jargon in the press that a picture is worth a thousand words.

I am a person who likes pictures, because the intuitiveness and authenticity of images make the telling of stories/events more impactful.

In the past, I liked photography because I like to travel, but now, I focus more on the record of life, and this is also the reason why I like documentaries very much: to record and restore events in a real way, allowing viewers to watch and interpret them.

But after watching this documentary, I don't know what to say, especially knowing that one of the protagonists later became a prostitute.

From the very beginning, the film showcases the power of photography, from changing their lives to changing their destiny later.

But how can it be? The fate of these people is huddled under the rule of the state and culture. Although they have outside help, what can they do?

Some problems are not about money. Although need money to help.


Even if those people have changed because of this movie, there are many more places like that.

These problems are not only in the red light district, but also in small coal mines, there are many, many more. . . . .
