The difficult process of finding a home

I always look for this movie to watch when I'm in a bad mood. I've been accustomed to it for many years, so I've watched it several times to get deep into my heart.
It's my opinion about the movie.
This is a movie about home.
As far as the heroine is concerned, her childhood home was a happy father's house, listening to her father's singing, and her father's coaxing herself to sleep. Her grandmother took care of her after her father, who had to leave home for a living, left. She had to be separated from other relatives during the war, and she set foot on European soil by mistake. Then there are Susie's adoptive parents and adoptive mothers. Even the collection of photos of Susie's father's collection cannot erase her thoughts of her father. Then I met Lola, she was like one of her sisters, and she also came out of a difficult situation, (seems like a Russian refugee), so when she made her choice, I reported a sympathetic attitude. If there is another war, I can It is hard to say that the people who survived were not the ones who chose the same as her. (Forgive my reality, after the soul broke the blue bridge, I understood how those who survived the war survived) This sister can also protect her at critical moments. Gypsy boyfriend is her lover. In my opinion, both Gypsies and Jews have deep family values, because from a certain point of view, they are all ethnic groups with roots and no place to live. That's why he couldn't leave with her to go to America, because he told her that these were his children, his family, the people he wanted to protect and follow. He has his responsibilities, not only to the people he loves, but also to his family and clansmen.
I can feel Suzy leaving her boyfriend, he pretended to be asleep, and her eyes were full of tears after she closed the door. Who said Johnny was mediocre in the play, I liked the time when a single look could make me feel better than the noise that followed. He is acting.
In the end, Susie finally arrived in the United States, realized the American dream, and found her father and her home.
The ending of the story seems to be a pattern of return. It seems that each of us has a hard day outside. In the end, the best thing that can return us is to return to the family.

Finally, this movie also taught me another important point - that music knows no borders.

I will continue to cherish this film until I die of old age.

It's not necessarily the prince who rides the white horse, but it could be Johnny Depp! Oops.

The Man Who Cried quotes

  • Dante Dominio: [about gypsies] They are dirty.

Suzie: How would you be if you lived on the road?

Dante Dominio: Ah, well, but I don't! I live in an apartment with two bathrooms and beautiful furniture which I pay for with money I have earned. Why do they live like that? Because they are dirty, lazy thieves! Because they don't want to work, to make something of themselves!

Suzie: They live on the road because their homes were taken away. They have nowhere else to go.

  • [Dante has been ingratiating himself with Nazi officers, while Suzie has been helping the gypsies]

Dante Dominio: [as she clears up horse droppings] Hey, little Suzie. You have found your place at last, amongst the animals.

Suzie: And you have found yours.
