The investigation into the murder of the veterinary inspector, the hormone-trafficking gang, the shadow of the protagonist's childhood, and his tragic life are narrated in four parts. Slightly messy criminal characters, too fragmented narratives, too many unrelated auxiliary plots, which make the film focus unfocused, not tight enough, and the rhythm is depressing and procrastinating.
The shooting of natural light in a large section of dark scenes, the atmosphere created by the hazy weather, and the fate of the protagonist because of Matthias Schoenaerts' performance, still give people a strong nerve shock.
