It didn't scare me, but a little better than other ghost movies

When the female ghost crawled out of the painting, I thought I would be very, very scared and smashed the female ghost with all the heavy objects in the face until she didn't move, instead of hiding and letting her twist against me. I shouldn't be the only one with my neck
wanting to do this, right?
Why didn't the director want to?
It would be more enjoyable if there was another episode of beating the female ghost in the middle, like in a TV show where Sadako crawled out of screaming laughter, and the girl with pig’s feet had a fight with Sadako before she died.
