Greenpeace Radical Promo

"The Great Miracle" is also said to be based on real events, but I think it should be exaggerated. This is a 1980's Greenpeace propaganda film about a united effort to save stranded whales in Alaska. The whole country is concerned about these three whales. The President of the United States, the Marine Corps, major media and Eskimos have joined in, and even the Soviet icebreaker has helped across ideological barriers. I have to say it's really bloody.

Went with anticipation of the beauty of Alaska. It turned out to be just a piece of ice and snow, and the picture quality was still blurry (probably intentional), I thought it was a movie from the 80s, but I wondered how Drew Barrymore could be so old more than 20 years ago, only to find out it was 2012 new film of the year. The Greenpeace girl played by Drew has a posture in which the whole universe must revolve around the three whales. Anyone who is not active or has other motives is the enemy. Perhaps it is a vivid reflection of the characteristics of Greenpeace.

There are only two bright spots in Infinite Dog Blood and Mediocrity: a few underwater shots are beautiful; Sarah Palin is a real person.

How did the 7.3 points come about? Because it's eco-friendly?

A very successful American political soft film. Based on true events that took place in 1988. Let you see how successful journalism, successful PR works. Although it is about the rescue of whales, it is actually more about how people can maximize their own needs and interests. The twists and turns of the plot are heart-wrenching, the warm tone makes the ending beautiful, and the little details that are brilliant cannot be ignored. In short, it is a movie that brought me unexpected surprises.

Nathan: I sold it to the other guy. But I can still get more! It's forty now, though.

    Jill Jerard: Forty dollars?

    Nathan: Shipping and handling.

    Jill Jerard: ...Shipping and handling?

Nathan: [smirks] It's not my first rodeo, either.

  • J.W. McGraw: [the Russian ship has created a hole in the ice, but the whales haven't appeared] C'mon, you bastards! Surface!
