Comment on Jarhead: This is my youth

This is not an anti-war film, but an unofficial conscription propaganda film.

Although the director paid tribute to the qualified anti-war film "Full Metal Jacket" in the film, it was a pity that it was a conscription film. .

Unlike other war movies, there are big scenes, big explosions, bloodshed, and death. .
The main tone of this film is full of youth, utopian excitement, a group of young people are rioting together, the whole film is a calm story about the protagonist’s Marine life, compact, lively, youthful, I like it!

After reading it, I don’t feel enough. It’s over before I get out of the desert? So I said:
This is a conscription video!
Join the army! Welcome to the Marine Corps~Leave memories of your youth and become a man!

Although some people will think: it would be nice to have more big scenes.
But I think this is also good, a more real Gulf War, a more real army life.

The reason for giving 4 stars is because I lack the connotation that I want. It is purely personal. If there is nothing for me to think about, I will be very troubled. But I still recommend it~
because this film shines with unique light and is precious.

PS: "Full Metal Jacket" I only gave 3 stars, which happened to be qualified, and the comment was only 5 words: qualified anti-war film.

Pay tribute to the full metal shell, I am very happy that jake wears a Santa hat and mixes the shit bucket. The man is still handsome with a flat head.

Jarhead quotes

  • Anthony 'Swoff' Swofford: [voice over narration] The Marine must learn to kill. He may wear a tattoo, or display his medals, or tell lies in bars. But he is not a true marine until he has seen combat.

Anthony 'Swoff' Swofford: A story: A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.
