The gods are hidden

In the film "The Pharaoh and the Gods", beside the thorn bushes, at the time of the ten plagues, on Mount Sinai, it was a little friend who appeared to Moses. I always feel that this is a somewhat weird arrangement. Thinking about it later, it actually made

sense ... but there is really such a Jewish tradition that God’s face is invisible because 1. The brightness is too high, and you will die if you see it. Or 2. God is inherently invisible. Or 3. God hides himself, see "Isaiah" 45:15 "God of Savior Israel, you are really a hidden God."

So what if God wants to appear? Angel Metatron is here to help~ So in fact, all I saw were Metatron, not the deity of God. There is a spoof film called Dogma (Anger Offensive Tenjo), Alan Rickman plays Metatron, this is the idea.

It is also written in the Old Testament that the prophet saw an angel, such as "Exodus 3:2" "The angel of the Lord appeared to Moses from the flames of thorns."

"Exodus" 23:21 also mentioned this angel, saying "he came in my name", but a more accurate translation would be "he has my name in him".

Later, in the early days of Christianity, Paul and the others also said according to this tradition that the source of the law was angels, and Moses got the law from angels. For example, Acts 7:38 says that Moses "was with the angel who spoke to him in the wilderness assembly and on Mount Sinai." Galatians 3:19 says that the law was "established by angels by the mediator." "Hebrews" 2:2 also speaks of the law as "the word preached through angels."

So, who is this angel...? The Enoch tradition of Judaism says that it is Enoch. Enoch was taken away by God and turned into an angel, which is Metatron.

So, does the screenwriter of "The Pharaoh and the Gods" think that since Enoch will not die of old age, he should just play him as a little friend?

The problem with this understanding is that in Exodus: Gods and Kings, there are Exodus and check. There are Kings, check. What about Gods? The film did not have the names of the Egyptian gods in the Pharaoh’s palace invoke the names of the Egyptian gods and fight against Moses as in the 1999 cartoon "Prince of Egypt." The Egyptian gods and Hebrew gods did not appear, only the representative Metatron could be seen.

So in this film called Gods and Kings, Gods is not present. In the Old Testament, at least literally, God still appeared frequently, spoke, and even anthropomorphic. But this film does not know what is going on. In a world where God has disappeared, the prophet brings God's people to God's promised land. It's paradoxical.

Before watching this film, the film I watched was Zhong Dao Fu Mo, and the special effects were ps2 game cg level, and there was no layer synthesis. You can imagine how happy I was watching Moses.

Two and a half minutes is too long...I don't know much about religious allusions, shouldn't the Red Sea be separated in the middle...Is the last dedication to the old Lei brother Tony meant for Pharaoh and Moses...Lei Director is not suitable for this kind of Zhang Yimou film...
