Three detectives, at least one and a half characters from Elroy's "Boundless Wasteland". Moving this story straight into the Los Angeles quartet doesn't go against the grain at all. It's just that there is one less Hollywood entanglement, and this drama is still squeezed into a movie set.
Behind everyone, not just the protagonist, there is a meaningful story. The result is that many small details are worth remembering, but the image of the main character is not so clear. Fortunately, the actors are not so charming, so watch the story and see the story.
