Give real life a loop

The style of the film is eerie and dreamy, giving people a feeling like watching a horror movie and a fairy tale. The forest after the grandfather's house in the opening scene reminds people of "Pan's Labyrinth" inexplicably. Later, Jake's father said His grandfather needed to go to school on the island for "other reasons," and he said that the children there were not "special" as his grandfather described it. Only then did it become clear that there was indeed an allusion to World War II. The masks they wore during the subsequent reset also reminded me of one episode of "Doctor Who". Those "living dead" children with masks are a hundred times more terrifying than the "empty demon" in my mind.
However, in the "reality", these "special" children cannot be "protected." The so-called reset is actually another form of death, and will never grow up only on that day. Those who also have the same "powers" choose to become demons because they pursue immortality. In my opinion, they are analogous to fascists who pursue power and interests and become monsters, because power can often bring them to life. A sense of immortality.
It's just that I was actually solved by this black-bellied film. The concept of loop can be deduced to the useless use of art in life. If the real world is not as good as you want, then create a loop for yourself. Literature, film, music...no matter what the form, all the injured, need help and protection of the mind can have a parallel time and space that can be traversed. So in fact, I just want to remind myself that if I'm still on this journey, I shouldn't feel sorry for those "losts" that don't belong to me.
