To be honest, I haven't read the original book on War and Peace, so I can't comment on whether the show has changed to accentuate the book's focus and whether it reflects what the book is trying to reveal. BUT, this is really a TV series not suitable for teenagers or youth. It's not because of a little bit of plot, but because if you haven't experienced life, glitz, love, class, major social turmoil (or natural disasters), etc., etc., I don't think there is a way to understand the true meaning of life expressed by the center. forced or active recourse, interweaving of emotion and social family, neglect or emphasis on personal enjoyment and social environment. Haha, everyone is not the protagonist, however, every social person involved is the protagonist of his own life. To my surprise, in addition to reflecting the situation of the upper and middle classes in Russia at that time, the scene and form of the war shocked me. Not because of how majestic or cruel the war is, but because of the ridiculous and stupid form of war in modern eyes, oh no, maybe just in my own eyes. Was the war in Europe really like that at that time? !

Perfect! No matter how you shoot Toon's book, it's difficult to cover it all, so this version won't try to take care of everything, but focus on Pierre's awakening. The last dinner in the last episode was really seen this year. the best ending

Jack Lowden is so handsome here too (。・ω・。)ノ♡ Seeing the Hermitage shed tears, I love the grandeur of the snow-covered land in Russia. Love the passage on Andre's epiphany. Everyone here has made mistakes, and in the end they are reconciled or forgiven. Toweng really has the ultimate desire to pursue inner peace.

War & Peace quotes

  • [first lines]

Anna Pavlovna Scherer: But mon cher ami, how can you be so calm? This... this monster, Bonaparte - he's crossed into Austria now and... who's to say that Russia won't be next.

  • [last lines]

Pierre Bezukhov: [voice-over] They say sufferings are misfortunes. But if I was asked, would I stay as I was before I was taken prisoner, or go through it all again? I would say for God's sake, let me be a prisoner again.

Pierre Bezukhov: Come, let's sit and eat and give thanks for our good fortune.

Pierre Bezukhov: [voice-over continued] When our lives are knocked off course, we imagine everything in them is lost. But it is only the start of something new and good. As long as there is life, there is happiness. There is a great deal... a great deal still to come.
