No depth, no suspense, no logic

The plot has two topics of "white anti-apartheid fighter" and "real story adaptation", but except for the follow-up development of the protagonists at the end, the whole plot shows very few things related to the topic. It can be seen that this film I don't want to go into any depth on the topic.

So why are you still using these two flags?

Let's look at the jailbreak part. Most of the plot is about how to make the key, but the rest of the key elements of the jailbreak are not mentioned or foreshadowed. Such as how they figured out when the guards were patrolling, how they planned to escape after making the keys, and where they got the map from. None of these are shown. I even felt like they could just run away after finishing the key. The most exaggerated thing is that after the protagonists broke the door and escaped, shouldn't the guards who called the prisoners get up should be able to find it from the beginning?

Suspense films (I will call them suspense films according to the feeling of the plot) can be left blank, but too much blank space will make the plot logic not perfect and the convincing power not strong.

To sum up, remove the two topics of "white anti-apartheid fighter" and "true story adaptation", you can find that this movie is an ordinary drama.
