At the height of the Cold War in 1979, Gaunt (David Kross) and Peter (Friedrich Mücke) who were in East Germany spent more than two years planning for freedom in pursuit of freedom. They had a "Great Escape": they used limited resources to build a huge hot air balloon, and planned to use it to carry their families to West Germany.     Are there only two types of good German films: World War II and East and West Germany?
