Robert Downey Jr is known for his superhero image, but the real test for an actor is getting into any role and trying to make his own. And he does it perfectly in this fantasy film. Robert Dolittle and Dr. John Dolittle have the ability to communicate with animals, but he lives a lonely life due to the loss of the love of his life. But when Queen Victoria is about to die, when his beloved animals and her sheltered world are in danger, he needs to go on an expedition to buy rare fruit on the mythical isle in order to save the queen. He joins the animals and his partner Tom Holland on this adventurous journey. The movie's plot, while simple as it sounds, is well written and it's perfect for the visuals. This fantasy drama does need a lot of support for the CGI work, and this flick won't let you down in any form. The world created by the manufacturer is so visually beautiful that you will feel beyond. Robert and Tom's performances are as good as the rest of the cast. The music condenses with the narrative. If you like adventure, fantasy, visual feast and innocence, this movie is highly recommended. Watch this lighthearted movie and set yourself on fire.
