The first time I watched this movie, it was the morning after I learned that Robin Williams had committed suicide. That morning was no different from usual. I can barely say it was a little bit different. The wind blew more frequently. It's even more confusing, but maybe it's just my own passion: the morning of that day may actually be the same as usual, the same as any day. I admit that I didn't watch this film very seriously that day, because I watched it more closely. It was Robin Williams, who acted into a microphone: it was like his life.
This film tells the story that happened during the Vietnam War in a relatively relaxed way. Cronauer traveled to Vietnam as a U.S. military radio DJ: He hoped that his humor would allow Vietnamese to change their views of the United States. With his efforts, he has indeed won the trust of some Vietnamese. But how easy is it to "change"? His sense of humor does make Vietnamese feel very close to him "this person", but what cannot be changed is that there is still a national barrier between people that is difficult to resolve due to war, and people still cannot trust each other, what he pursues The Vietnamese girl could not accept his feelings. The high-level American military was even more dissatisfied with his humor. In the end, Cronauer left Vietnam alone and lonely.
In many cases, we think that our "goodness" can be accepted and should be accepted everywhere; but more often, we often have to close the door, so after turning around, in addition to infinite loneliness, it may bring more A lot of confusion and anger.
