This is the second work of the Coen brothers. My favorite starring Nicolas Cage (mentioned that he is drooling, the type I like-real man, wow haha~) is
also an early work of the Coen brothers. Compared with Blood Simple is fast-paced and light-hearted and has a lot of humor, such as robbing a store for diapers, fighting with former inmates at home, two dumb thieves dropping Baby on the road twice, and robbing a bank together.
In the movie HI (Nicolas Cage) has two dreams: Although the man in black in the dream appeared in real life for the first time, I think he represents HI's fear of responsibility in his heart. It wasn't until after accidentally blowing up the man in black and sending Baby home during the fight that HI had a second relaxed and sweet dream. He really understood the meaning of responsibility and was willing to continue their relationship with his wife Ed. Life, the future in dreams brings hope to real life.
Even in such a movie full of comedy factors, the usual irony of the Coen brothers is indispensable. Police officers from different departments who claimed to be cooperating quarreled and asked about Baby’s missing details. The rest of the policemen drank coffee leisurely and all had their feet on the table. Ironically). After the loss of Baby, Mr. Arizona did not forget to promote his company in an interview with Remember. These hidden ironies are not at all obtrusive, but they add to the film, and I have to admire the talents of the Coen brothers.
I will continue to appreciate the works of the Coen brothers, I believe it will be a pleasant journey~~~
