Greater scale = greater success?

When I first watched "Blood and Sand", I was thinking about the meaning of the second season of this film if it turns into a war film from the training ground of BATIATUS. From the slightly lengthy beginning of "Blood and Sand" to the hearty contrast at the end, it is not difficult to find that the screenwriter team of this play is not good at a slightly open narrative perspective. They prefer to stay in a relatively narrow interpersonal range. The deposit deposits and then explodes. And Starz's handling of the war scenes was not good either. They basically splashed blood on the close-up shots to enhance the atmosphere. If the rebels in the second season were still shooting in front of the Roman Legion when they were in conflict with the Roman Legion, it would really be a domestic TV series. The war scene has a fight...the distant CG + close-up close-up.
And after the end of "Blood and Sand", many people commented that the protagonist Andy was not likable, and even after adding some characteristics of the role of Spartacus, it was a bit disgusting. For the shaping of the protagonist " "Blood and Sand" is undoubtedly quite a failure. It just portrays a slave hero as an executioner and catastrophe who destroys all the good things at the time. All disasters are caused by him, and all the characters with flesh and blood that are liked by the audience cannot escape because of him. And the end of death. In fact, the audience likes this show, what do they really like? Blood, flesh, lewd and extravagant life, seductive men, small struggles and small pursuits belonging to every class, and Spartacus was sent by the screenwriter to clean up all of this...
Batiatus was the opposite of the first season. The voice of the number is exceptionally high. Everyone likes this man who is not amazing in appearance and powerless, but has ambition and courage who can make a career in this blood and flesh world. He kept bearing the humiliation and stepped on every stumbling block step by step. He just saw some light, but everything came to an abrupt end under the sword of Spartacus. When the first part ended, he fell into the pool with his eyes. With unwillingness, this scene touched my heart. I didn’t think that the screenwriter wanted us to think that his death deserved to be self-inflicted. All I can feel is to regret his ambition, if Without Spartacus, it would be even more exciting if this play were the story of Batiatus.
It may be that the screenwriters have also heard the voice of the masses. The opening chapter of this prequel is really based on Batiatus, which contains too many eyes, and flashbacks the first history of struggle that has not had time to talk about. Here I have to praise John Hannah’s acting skills. He has grasped the role of Batiatus so well. In that simple little arena, the eyes of young Batiatus are green, energetic, hope, and ambition, but there is no "Blood The profound and vicious in "and the sand".
And Ganniuc played by Dustin Clare won a lot of money when he appeared on the stage. Starz finally took the audience's pulse. Such a pleasing male one (at least it seems to be a male one at the moment, but I always think he will be halfway by Crixus. Kill...) is what everyone wants to see. Ganniuc's first fight showed an unruly personality that regards life and death as a child's play, and some people even told me that he could find a little Pitt in his body. There are also more detailed blood-splashing CGs than in the first season, as well as the fact that almost all female characters have been released from the battle, all showing Starz's determination to surpass "Blood and Sand" in this commercial achievement. There are even more breakthroughs in the script. When the screenwriters are not entangled in the plot with Spartacus alone like the first one, it is a multi-line development. Every more important role that appeared in the first Can get a not shallow line, so that the audience can watch the story of each character they like, enough to be enjoyable. The most important thing is that Spartacus is still rolling with his beautiful wife in Thrace at this time, and he won't come to Capua to add trouble.
In general, there are too many expectations for this drama, and there may be more surprises.
How did Batiatus get rid of the shadows of his father’s generation step by step and finally took a place in Capua’s new arena, how did he move from sympathy with Solonius to antagonism, and how his wife Lucretia took their feelings away Never had he been able to live up to the point where the soul and the body were separated and the lusts were separated.
How did Crixus grow from a stone-carrying slave to an excellent gladiator step by step (this seems a bit old-fashioned), and how did he hook up with Lucretia and Naevia? It may be Gaia who opened the buds for him...
The entanglement between Oenomaus and his white wife Melitta and Ganniuc in love, lust, and basic affection will definitely be a highlight.
Since this drama has just begun, it’s hard to say how it will develop later, but I think this time Starz’s sincerity and determination and self-positioning are full. We don’t want to watch how epic historical dramas, as long as they are cool enough and not mentally retarded. Commercial drama is enough.

PS: One sentence I wanted to say since the first season, everyone's translation is really NB! Without yours, the entertainment of this film would be reduced by at least one third.
PS again: I think that if Spartacus has not re-selected the male number one, it will be filmed backwards. This theme is obviously more interesting than the slave uprising.

After reading the prequels, I found that Spartacus was really different from other gladiators, so he launched the Burning Slave Uprising. Will Spartacus have a second season?
