Nearly five hours of a slightly lengthy plot, rarely the panic of escape, but more of a sense of search.

It is true that the previous "tour" trip around the world "checked in" cities on four continents, and some of them have nothing to do with the main line. After all, there are many cities that have reached the same purpose. It is not a big problem to remove a few points, but There are two main points that connect the main line: a mountain villa in Japan and a bar in San Francisco.

Although the whole film begins with a nuclear satellite in India that will fall to the earth world or will perish because of it, the whole film does not involve much about the panic and escape. Life: No panic, no passion. The protagonist, Claire, also seems to be completely out of touch with this demise.

But that doesn't mean the whole film is free from this sense of crisis, it's just conveyed in other forms of external or internal representation. For example, in the film, the person who once sat and chatted with Claire panicked because the United States was about to shoot down a nuclear satellite, hijacked the US ambassador to a certain country and publicly warned; and Claire fell in love with Sam in the process of chasing him and had a relationship crisis with her husband keep deepening. In this way, the hidden sense of crisis is constantly exhaled, but at the same time, in the process of "searching", it is gradually discovered that the real crisis comes from the inner uncertainty.

Claire calls husband a broken ladder

About finding:

Must grasp the image of blindness in the film

Japanese Mountain Villa Treatment Eyes

Blind eyes can't seek, but on the other hand, blind eyes need to seek more.

Claire feels content for the first time

For the first time in her life, Claire felt contented, contented with the peace of love, contented with the joy of regaining her sight, contented with the continuation of her search, by healing the near-blind eyes of her loved one in the peaceful mountain village.

about mother

Sam's mother, who was invisible from a young age, eventually succeeded in making her see, albeit only in the form of computer images, through scientific experiments in a cave laboratory.

On the last day of 1999, the last day of the century, in the desert of Australia's abandoned country, they learned that the world still exists, and the world has not yet come to an end. That night, everyone had a carnival at the end of the century.

However, after the great joy after the great sorrow, the film came to the great sorrow at the end: has the search reached the end?

Claire and Sam both fell into the wonderful memories and dreams in the computer images, but they were full of doubts about the reality. They found answers and satisfaction in their search all the way and throughout their lives, but in the end, they were unable to escape the emptiness and dependence of the images.

Images can record fond memories that have been forgotten, make people consciously indulge in wonderful dreams, and seem to stop all searching. (Even Claire's futuristic personality is on the verge of ending)

However, it was only at the end of the day that the image also showed a day when the battery was low.

(I'm only talking about what I think)
