Classical Prison Break Films: "Dead Convict Escape" 1956, "The Hole" 1960, "The Great Escape" 1963, "Escape from Akara" 1979, "Shawshank's Redemption" 1994. The first few parts are all classic realism, through the detailed description of the high transcendence technique, as well as the rendering of suspense and tension, let us and the protagonist experience the intense and exciting prison escape process. Although the last "Shawshank's Redemption" obviously borrowed from the film, it can surpass the film and become a classic also thanks to its sublimation in artistic and connotative expression, as well as the powerful emotional motivation in the story.

It was still very exciting, my heart was in my throat, I clenched my fists and watched the final escape sequence, and the police blew the whistle and breathed a sigh of relief, but I was exhausted! The control of the rhythm and the handling of some details are rather hasty and unfinished.

How could such a good film give less than five stars? Later, Shawshank obviously imitated this when he escaped from prison. .
