expect? Disappointed?

Looking forward to watching this movie, I thought it would be a very sci-fi adventure in the elf world. It's a pity that it just feels like telling a story in a family under the brand of the elf. There are not many elves in the show, and except for the troublemaker and pig head, the others have no character. In fact, I only remember these two after reading it. One is a lot of scenes, and the other is eating the devil. That's all. However, the affection between the little boy and his family, especially his father, really touched me deeply. Trust, loyalty, love, this family embodies a lot of good things.

How does time seem to never go, Anakin... it seems to come back to me. Why are these little boys so handsome, only to find out that you are actually Charlie. I am very happy to watch such a film, Hua Xianzi, dwarfs, magic films are always out of date.

The audience of this film should be children, after all, it looks like a fairy tale. But there is a problem. The film does not use too much pen and ink to depict the world of the elves (only introduced through four scenes). It focuses more on fighting against the dark forces, and it feels to scare children more, so the monotony of the plot leads to a low box office. It's normal. Is this the original novel? Then I don't understand how this novel is selling well.

The Spiderwick Chronicles quotes

  • [Hogsqueal comes up with a plan to save Simon with Jared]

Hogsqueal: Okay, here's our plan. I will find a safe position over there and create a distraction with my stick. Then you leap out with your knife and finish the beast yourself. Oh, I like that plan. That's a good plan. I'm smart.

  • [Hogsqueal spits in Jared's eyes to give him the sight to see the goblins]

Hogsqueal: [Hogsqueal laughs to himself] Nailed him! I have given you the sight, a gift only a hobgoblin can bestow.

Jared Grace: [Jared wipes off the gooey spit] Oh, gross!

Hogsqueal: You're welcome. Now, let's go!
