I didn't eat very full last night, and I finished watching this movie between the accumulated hunger.
I really appreciate the director's shooting style. "Earth Night" tells the story of five different cities on the planet at the same time in a taxi. Because of the randomness and uncertainty of the ride, there is uncertainty about what happens in the car. The driver and the passenger are people from two different backgrounds. When different people meet, there must be unexpected collisions and contrasts, or emotional connections at a certain moment. So on this level the director is romantic, he reflects the contrast caused by this randomness everywhere, trying to reflect the different expressions of people on the earth at the same time. But much of the film's footage shows drivers and passengers driving, or city nightscapes with beautiful lights, undermining the anomalous intensity.
The conflict of the drama is dissolved by the sound of the cello, living in the time of a cigarette, revealing the impatience undertone.

Everyone in Los Angeles knows the brilliance and beauty of being a star, but even the unruly taxi girls know that there are only a few people who have dreams come true in the face of reality. The scout couldn't read the girl's rejection, and the girl couldn't believe the meaning of dream. It's a showdown between dream vs reality, and it's just an ordinary thing that happens in a taxi at 7:07 p.m. in Los Angeles.

The driver, who was mocked by passengers as African-American, carried a blind woman who "skin color doesn't matter in my world". Feeling inferior, he began to feel inferior in front of her. He took pity on the blind girl and regarded her as a disabled person who could not enjoy the happiness of others. However, this prejudice just exposed the ugliness in his heart. The blind girl's last exhortation to him seemed to confirm all of this, and as expected, he crashed while turning. The visible man crashed the car, and the invisible man walked along the river without getting his shoes wet.
African-American drivers are mocked by passengers, who in turn despise blind women. Contempt is a food chain, and the dignity or despicability conferred on a person cannot escape the fate of being despised. Racism is a kind of harm in front of black people, and in turn, the contempt of blind women is not a kind of "racism" in disguise (normal people vs disabled groups).
