A good woman can help and change a man's life

Apparently the title "Smart People" is laughable because of its straightforwardness. Before I even started watching it, I could imagine that "smart" expressed in the film is actually the opposite of it. As expected.

In the fast-developing modern society, what kind of person can be considered a smart person? Obviously not a high IQ even a smart person. The protagonist of the film is a literature professor at a university. Such a professional appearance is supposed to be a smart person. Yet he is still a toddler in the emotional world. His daughter is following in his footsteps. Although she was good enough to get into Stanford, she, like his father, was indifferent to the people around her and was always immersed in the judgment of everything. They have one obvious common characteristic, that is, they can't laugh. I mean that genuine heart-warming smile.

This makes their lives seem to be shrouded in a homemade glass cover. Almost cut off ties with others. Whether the professor became this way because of the loss of his wife, or whether his ex-wife loved him too much and made him this conceited, we don't know. One thing's for sure, beyond gushing about his rhetoric, he's starting to realize that his life is a mess. The discovery surrounded him with great frustration. In fact, it was a woman who made him realize that he might be able to break through this flaw.

This is a beautiful emergency doctor who was also one of his students. Because of his harsh comments, this beautiful literary talent decided to change to biology. If someone hadn't kindly reminded him, he would definitely not remember this student. Strangely enough, stupid people always have stupid blessings. Although this is a middle-aged, fat, emotionless, and clumsy man, he has won the love of this beautiful doctor. During the days of their relationship, he worked hard to change for her, but apparently the progress was slow. Most of the time, he is still immersed in the things he cares about.

Until one day, the female doctor found out that she was pregnant. However, their relationship was not stable at the time. She suddenly became sensitive and irritable, and he was puzzled. In fact, what she cared about was that he hadn't really taken her to heart. At least, she can't feel it. Maybe it wasn't his intention. But it frustrated her. So there was a brief separation between them. Some of the plots of recovery and awakening are omitted later. The ending of the film is good. They walked together and decided to welcome the arrival of new life together. He also became a real smart guy with a good sense of humour and a love of laughter. It also reminded me that the role of a good woman is to help and change a man's life. And when you really realize what can help you, never give up hope.

Have you or the people around you gradually become such a "smart person" in the unchanging habitual way of life, or in the trials and tribulations of life? They may be able to master the field they are engaged in but gradually lose the ability to smile, the ability to love life, the ability to care about others...? They are very knowledgeable, but they do not understand the basic human needs.

In this day and age, what kind of person can be considered a smart person? I think as long as you are not particularly low in IQ and have a high EQ at the same time, you are truly smart.

Although this is a debut, the cast is very strong. I also like the soundtrack. Very American guitar music. Interludes are almost always accompanied by guitar. Indeed, if you like movies like "Life with a Glass of Wine", this movie must not be missed by you.
