Mobile apartment for honeymoon

Basically every good film will have a very unique sense of the lens.
The camera sense of this Swedish film is actually not special or original, but it is very relevant to its content and form.
Basically, there are not a few moving shots, and the push-pull-pan can't be found in this movie, so I'm in a trance watching the drama. The photographer's composition feels very strong, and many times it is not only the drama but also the beauty of painting and photography.
No montage, one scene, one scene, no close-ups of characters. The living characters are just pawns in the scene, just as the living people are the grains of sand in the world. Nobody is special.
Speaking of which, this film should be very bland, even a bit depressing literary film. However, the director still has a good sense of humour, plain is bland, but not depressing, and it looks very comfortable.
Maybe one or two bright spots are always needed in the whole flowing rhythm, and this one below is the bright spot.
The girl dreamed that she was married to her beloved rock singer. In the dream, they were sitting on the train for their honeymoon trip. This train was too comfortable. The only clue to the suite carriage was the scenery outside the window that kept sliding to the rear. Singer groomsman sitting by the window and playing electric guitar.
The train leaned against a crowded station. The crowd knocked on the window as soon as the train stopped. The groom opened the window. People congratulated him and called out the bride. The two waved their hands to everyone in the cheers of the crowd. Sing a song to show your thanks.
As soon as the camera is turned, the newcomer is seen from the perspective of everyone. In fact, they were in front of the window of their apartment, which was parked on a station full of people. The whistle sounded, the apartment began to move forward in imitation of the train, and the crowd cheered and played music, causing the other neighbors in the apartment who didn't know what to do to look at the window inexplicably.
When I woke up from the dream, the girl was alone in the middle of the bar, drinking a cocktail. The bartender greeted everyone for the last drink tonight, and the crowd flocked to the bar. There was also a drinker beside him muttering about his dreams.

"I'm a psychiatrist... year after year, listening to patients. They're all dissatisfied with their lives, some want to have fun, some want me to help them have fun. I tell you, it's going to screw people up. Exhausted...people are demanding too much, that's what I've come to after years. They want to have fun and at the same time be self-centered, self-serving, narrow-minded...In my opinion, They are really stingy at home.

Cool tone wide angle fixed camera long lens. Hey, life. I sometimes forget my character and think I've been carried away by a mad whale who is nothing but this world - Sartre

You, the Living quotes

  • Mia: Serving non-alcoholic beer with food that smells so good. It's torture!

Uffe's mother.: I only want what's best for you.

Mia: Best! Is this what's best for me? Enduring this damned existance... with all the shit and deceit and wickedness and staying sober? How can you expect or even want a single poor bugger to put up with it without being drunk? It's inhuman. Only a sadist would demand that.

  • The psychiatrist: Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

[examines the large stack of patient's files]

The psychiatrist: I am a psychiatrist. I have been for 27 years. I'm completely worn out. Year after year, listening to patients who aren't satisfied with their lives, who want to have fun, who want me to help them with that - it wears you out, I can tell you. My life isn't exactly a lot of fun either. People demand so much. That's the conclusion I've drawn after all these years. They demand to be happy, at the same time as they are egocentric, selfish, and ungenerous. Well, I would like to be honest. I would like to say that they are quite simply mean, most of them. Spending hour after hour in therapy, trying to make a mean person happy... There's no point. You can't do it. I've stopped doing it. These days, I just prescribe pills. The stronger, the better.
