INDIGÈNES

Among the many bells and whistles of war films, this is the most straightforward film I have ever seen~ Several close-ups fully express the suddenness of death and how people are used to death. With a dark style and vivid themes, they showed cowardice, fear and confusion in the face of war. They could sacrifice their lives for the so-called "motherland", but they could not get fundamental equal rights. The original African soundtrack in the film (that is, a man babbling over there) is pathetic, reminiscent of the desert in Africa and how they miss their hometown.
