I feel old, but not very wise

An Education. One of my favorite movies I've watched recently. In this film, there are so many things to think about, family, love, dreams, adolescence.

A little girl who was still in high school fell in love with an old man and gave up her studies and future for him. He took her to Paris, to and from bars and dances. She learned to smoke and drink. He told her that only the University of Life could learn the real thing, so she began to despise education and reading. She thought she got the life of her dreams. Until she found out that she gave up all the one switch, it was all lies and scams. After cheering up, she spent a year working hard to regain her dream.

I like how she finally returned to a student. She's not the kind of person who is suitable for a flamboyant life. She is a student from the bottom of her heart. She should be the kind of sitting in the library reading quietly and talking to people. A girl who is grammatical and calm, it's her nature. The reason why she was able to enter oxford with excellent grades was because of her innate characteristics. When she received the admission letter, she read it silently, then got up and left with a blank face. Sitting alone on the steps, she listened to her mother reading the admission news in a happy voice. She raised the corner of her mouth slightly, she knew that she had finally won her life back.

She said, The life I want, there's no shortcut.

Moi aussi.

Uncle is risky, and you need to be cautious when throwing your arms around.

An Education quotes

  • Jenny: [Reading from envelopes she found in David's car] Mr. and Mrs. David Goldman. Mr. and Mrs. David Goldman. Mr. and Mrs. David- you're married!

    David: Legally yes, but...

Jenny: When were you going to tell me?

David: Soon, it just never seemed like the right time. You seemed so happy, and I was happy...

Jenny: You were living with your wife all this time, around the corner! Byron Avenue. It's no wonder we kept bumping into each other, is it? What number?

David: 34. Don't be like this, come on.

Jenny: I have nothing. I didn't take my exams. I... I left school. Where's it all gone now?

  • Jack: We have to have this out. Well, if you won't do it, I will. I'm still your father.

Jenny: You're my father again now, are you? And what were you when you encouraged me to throw my life away? Silly schoolgirls are always getting seduced by glamorous older men, but what about you two?
